Visited September 12 and 13, 2014. One of the very best beer bars I’ve ever visited. Ugly and anonymous from across the street, one enters a series of dark, wonderful cubbyholes with constantly-updated wall boards advertising the taps and casks. Vast menu of bottles. The friendly staff will let you know what’s new and fresh. A covered sidewalk annex will offer a better-lit and quiet alternative to the hipster scene inside - the heaters were appreciated on a cool evening! Loved my Ramsgate Summer’s Day and She Sells Sea Shells, Hylder Blonde from Dark Star, Saison Dupont from Belgium, West Coast IPA from Green Flash. Big mix of British and Belgian crafts with some tasty Swedish offerings thrown in like Skebo’s Drickar Stout. There IS food if you want it - including the best potato skins I’ve ever had in my life! Fantastic world-class beer bar, and I will never visit Stockholm again if I can’t come here.

Locale incredibile, con una scelta molto vasta di birre, prevalentemente belghe ma anche molte americane. Ottima cucina. Consiglio le cozze alla provenzale. Difficile trovare posto a sedere nelle ore critiche.

Spent about 12 hours there in 2 days (Friday/Saturday). Ambiance is really nice with good music and nice interior. Quite large bar/restaurant for the area. It can get crowded during lunch, but with a little patience you can find a place to sit. Service is perfect, really. Everybody there were very kind, friendly and had at least a good (if not great) knowledge about beers. Unlike some other bars with deep/great cellars, they don’t treat you like you "owe" them for having such great beers. On the top of that, Stene (one of the owner) sit with us for a few hours talking about his bar and the beer scene in Sweden. He was generous of his time and of his beers! A few great friendly locals joined us too and gave us what were their favorite beers there. Stene also made a tour of the impressive cellar with us. Vintage lambic selection is probably the best in the world! But the tap selection is also quite impressive! They had Lou Pepe Kriek on tap as well as en exclusive and mightily tasty and quenching Pils from Gänstraller Braü (and many others). Very good whiskey selection too. Food is great (both the meal and the appetizers). Price for beers on tap are a bit expensive, but very reasonable when you compare to other local bars. And for the quality, it’s more than reasonable. The value for the vintage beers is, in general, very good! An amazing bar that is definitely worth traveling to visit. Only my 2nd perfect place rating and my 2nd favorite bar in the world, very close to In de Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst. Amazing place!

Good selection of beer, wonderful food, staff is also good and friendly. Also a very great selection of whisky. So bar No.1 is no.1, nothing to add.

Great selection of brews from all around the world. A lot of taps to choose from. Didn’t even check the bottle selection. Quite expensive place though, as every place in Stockholm.

Well, been here a few times now. Food is incredible. Beer selection, world class. Always a cantillon on draft. What’s not to like.

Updated since my latest visit in August, 2014.
Always nice beers to choose from, always something special to pick up from the cuvée list. Staff goes from very knowledgeable and informed to at least fairly so. A classic place, but I find myself going less often and finding new places instead. If youäve never been I’d say it is a must, but for me it gets less interesting to go "just because".

Review from last time I visited, in November 2012.
Been here on and off since the late 90’s I guess?
Get to Slussen by public transport (green or red line metro is the safe choice), then a short walk.
One of the places I tend to go back to again and again every time I visit Stockholm.
Always been a "go to pub", but seems they tend to live on the reputation sometimes.
Staff is from very service minded and focused on the customer to downright disrespectful. If there for lunch can get staff who knows zero about beers alltogether.
For the older staff some seems to be in danger of falling into the old "I know more and am cooler than my customer base" trap it seems. I’ve seen it happen to other bars and other type of places and it is sad when it goes down that way. Even if it is true, you should treat your customer with respect.
Usually a nice draught representation and up to three or so cask beers, as well as a more than decent bottled list. Also have a very respectful cuvee bottled beers list, though do mind the prices before you order any of the bottled beers!
I rarely eat here since the pirces in comparison to what you get can exceed my taste buds/wallet or whatever it is, I am usually not that impressed by the plate but my wallet can complain though.
Beers are not cheap, but usually very well kept and for Stockholm you can not complain about the quality for sure.
The ambiance is OK. Can get rather crowded, not a huge amount of seating.

Great place. Huge selection of Swedish craft and foreign beers. Very friendly and helpful staff. Had a few different local brews, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. Food maybe a little expensive, but that’s standard for Sweden. Loads of space, and great atmosphere; especially as they had live music when I was there. Just about edges it for me as the top place in Stockholm, narrowly beating out Oliver Twist.
