Updated since my latest visit in August, 2014.
Always nice beers to choose from, always something special to pick up from the cuvée list. Staff goes from very knowledgeable and informed to at least fairly so. A classic place, but I find myself going less often and finding new places instead. If youäve never been I’d say it is a must, but for me it gets less interesting to go "just because".
Review from last time I visited, in November 2012.
Been here on and off since the late 90’s I guess?
Get to Slussen by public transport (green or red line metro is the safe choice), then a short walk.
One of the places I tend to go back to again and again every time I visit Stockholm.
Always been a "go to pub", but seems they tend to live on the reputation sometimes.
Staff is from very service minded and focused on the customer to downright disrespectful. If there for lunch can get staff who knows zero about beers alltogether.
For the older staff some seems to be in danger of falling into the old "I know more and am cooler than my customer base" trap it seems. I’ve seen it happen to other bars and other type of places and it is sad when it goes down that way. Even if it is true, you should treat your customer with respect.
Usually a nice draught representation and up to three or so cask beers, as well as a more than decent bottled list. Also have a very respectful cuvee bottled beers list, though do mind the prices before you order any of the bottled beers!
I rarely eat here since the pirces in comparison to what you get can exceed my taste buds/wallet or whatever it is, I am usually not that impressed by the plate but my wallet can complain though.
Beers are not cheap, but usually very well kept and for Stockholm you can not complain about the quality for sure.
The ambiance is OK. Can get rather crowded, not a huge amount of seating.

Arguably the best beer bar in Stockholm. It isn’t next to, or in between, the tourist attractions, so one must make a special effort to find it. (It’s near the Hilton). It’s definitely a local hangout. I believe my family and I were the only native English speakers, but everyone in Sweden seems to speak English.
The food was good. We ordered Moules (Mussels) and homemade sausage--all tasty.
The service was efficient and friendly. The place was busy. Oddly, even though it was a bar, it didn’t open until 6 p.m. By 7 p.m. there weren’t any seats available. I find it strange that they wouldn’t open earlier.
The beers were a combination of local micros and world famous offerings. Easy to find something you’d like (and something you’ve never had).
Like most places in Scandinavia, beer isn’t as cheap as it is in the US and UK, but at least it was good.

To reach Akkurat’s standard is definitely the ultimate goal any beer pub in the world should strive for. Huge beer selection, including vintage beers, a good selection of lambics etc. Good food and attentive service is a plus this bar does not even need for being the best beer pub in the world.

Finally made it to this place! Was high on my "to do" list for a long time. Visited twice during my 5day stay in Stockholm. First time was a sunday evening. We had some of the mussels and enjoyed some locals on draught and a 3F 50th Anniversary and and a Cantillon Goldackerl Gueuze. A gig started later that night, which got the place super crowded. Fun atmosphere though, amazing vintage (Cantillon) list and the service is very good (although sometimes a bit slow due to the massive amount of people in there). Next time we visited was during the week, at noon, stopped by to celebrate the birth of my godchild with a Cantillon Cuvée des Champions from 2004 (still awesome) at only 40ish euro. We had the potatoes with skin with the bacon and cheese. Caloriebomb, but it was most certainly very well made!! Overall I loved this place and it is, by far, the biggest beer geek place in Stockholm!!

This bar is very popular among beer geeks and I had a nice time here 2 nights drinking with some local RateBeerians. The food is quite good, possibly the best fries I’ve had in Europe. The bottle and draft list is extensive and prices are fair for pretty much anything except the ultra-rare exclusive bottles. Staff was friendly, mussels were good. no complaints at all.

I didn’t like this place at all. Maybe it was because of the live band playing, but I couldn’t get to the bar through the crowd, forget about ordering anything! The bar is insanely crowded and as far as I’ve understood from what people were saying it’s a common thing here. Yes, the choice is rather good (although they have only European beers on tap, while many Stockholm bars have American) and the prices are ok. The food also look tasty but I haven’t got a chance to try it. If you like crowded bars with a lot of drunk people and all this "bar atmosphere", this is a place for you. I personally prefer small cozy bars where you can talk to the bartender, sit quietly and taste cool beer. That’s why I liked nearby Oliver Twist bar much much more.

This is the epitome of a beer bar. Incredible bottle list. Large and varies tap list. Good eats. Knowledgable and friendly staff. Perfect temperature, glassware, delivery, etc. It’s the Mecca of the beer world.
