Just outside the north-east boundaries of the town centre but easily walked to if your looking for Sam Smiths drinks in this conurbation. Itís actually the closest pub from this brewer to the town centre in its own purposely built 20th century brick building. Inside itís typically traditional in design with a mix of leather-backed and upholstered chairs and bench seats against the walls. The bar is in the middle on the building flanked on both sides by two decent sized rooms and the various cask and keg choices from the brewer mostly repeat themselves on either side. There are outside tables at the front of the pub which is at a right-angle to the road so includes plenty of breathing space for its patrons and for those arriving by car. It is south facing too which is a bonus if you are supping outside.
