A great small brewery to visit. You squeeze between a huge brewing kettle and the bar and taste San Diegoís finest beers. The brewers are very helpful giving out excellent home brewing advice. I must go sometime for the tour. I wonder where the barrels are?

Agree with bad lizard and hopson. This is a working brewery and the people inside are freindly, honest and sincere. There is no corporate mentalityyet. I suspect as word of thier craft spreads demand will exceed supply and that may lead to the end of an era. Wonderful little palce, worth the visit.

Another brewery hidden in a small industrial park. I canít believe that such world class beers come from such a tiny brewery. I got a growler of Lil Devil, which I think is better than her bigger sister, Horny Devil. I was especially pleased to get a couple bottles of 2004 vintage of Speedway Stout. I will definately be back again. Give them a visit, you wonít regret it.

You know when you walk into some ones house for a small party, but you donít really know the person?...That is exactly the way you will feel walking into this awesome place. It is a small, garage type place, with little in the way of introductory pizazz. Either way, who cares? First, the owner and staff treat you like you are home. Second, the beers are amazing. Third, the samples are a plenty, and you feel like you are in the presence of greatness just being where they brew these fantastic and world renowned super beers. Tours are only on weekends. Find this place, and enjoy an afternoon with some of the the finest brews on earth.

Located in a somewhat bleak area with minimal signage, you wouldnít expect a brewery to be here.
They were just closing up when we arrived (10 minutes before) so there werenít many people around. We were able to squeeze a few samples of their wares though which were all quite nice (ranging from the Nautical Nut Brown to Speedway).
They also had some special edition Speedway from 2004 available for $12 and plenty of clothing. Itís a bit out of the way but probably worth the visit considering how great the stuff this place churns out is.

This was a fantastic experience. Thank you Peter for letting us in even when you were closed. Also thank you to Ryan for letting us drink some beers on tap and for answering all of our questions. I got to try most of the Alesmith on tap, many Iíve had before and some I hadnt such as My Bloody Valentine, and the Nautical Nut Brown Ale. It was such an awesome experience getting to view all of the tanks and to watch them work. I believe they were brewing an IPA at the time. Just an unforgettable experience. I picked up a half a dozen bottles while I was there in gratitude for there generosity. Thanks again guys.

This place is really small. Could only sample but have growlers and bottles to go! Got a jug of Lil Devil only available on tap. Seemed to be alot of merchandise. Gotta stop at this place for the incredible beer!

WOW not much of a place but they put out a great product with only 6 employees.
They all work hard and do all the grunt things. from washing vats to bottling.
Yulesmith, Speedway stout, Nautical nut brown, Numskull barleywine, Horny devil ale, Grand cru all were excellent.
Not much to see from the 3p-5p tasting. Worth the stop. Many locals bring in growlers.

There isnít much to this brewery except the beer and it is amazing indeed. I went on a Firday during thier open hours and they had 10 beers on tap to try for only 1 buck a pop. If you love good beer you have to go. Its a no frills gig, just great beer, and growler fills to die for. Heres to wishing I lived in SD area.

Went on a Saturday afternoon tour with head brewer Pete and enjoyed seeing behind the scenes. We had access to vintage 2004 Speedway Stout and got to taste all the beers that are not achieveable in bottle. A pretty rustic, rugged brewery, but cool to see.
