This is by far the best brewery to visit when in San Diego. The place is small and inviting. The people who work there are all very nice and accomodating. The selection is sometimes not that good as far as finding the higher rated stuff, because we locals buy it all! A definite ímust visití if you come here.

Itís real sweet. I gave ambiance points because there is nothing between you and the beer, but at the same time it isnít a place to hang out, which is disappointing. If you treat it like a Mecca rather than a place to kill time youíll be pleased.

Warehouse scene in industrial park. Nice tasting bar during the correct hours... only been there to pick up some BA releases. Peter was extremely friendly and nice to chat with...worth a visit if you want to see where SDís finest are brewed!

Quiet operation in an industrial park; spent 4+ hours lined up out back before the BA release party. Merchandise counter set up with reasonably priced stuff (including a pretty sweet growler cooler and bottle openers that, unlike my DFH one, wonít break after two uses). Peter and company were incredibly accomodating and great hosts for the whole affair; friendly, quick service everywhere. Eight beers available on tap at the small bar near the fermenters, including Old Numbskull, Speedway, X, Nautical Nut Brown, and Lil Devil, plus most of their bottled beers were available for sale. Not the kind of place youíd take a date, but great beer and great company.

Just a little bar in the back of the brewery. Small tastings, bottles and growlers. Girl serving was very friendly and helpful. A cool place to checkout if in the area.

Their opening hours are very limited, but this is an interesting place to visit. You will have access to some of the best beers on the planet, and will have a chance to meet the folks who make it. It is also likely that you will strike up a conversation with other visiting beer geeks, both local and from afar. For example the last time I was there a local took me over to another local brewery after we discussed beer for a while.

A great small brewery to visit. You squeeze between a huge brewing kettle and the bar and taste San Diegoís finest beers. The brewers are very helpful giving out excellent home brewing advice. I must go sometime for the tour. I wonder where the barrels are?

Agree with bad lizard and hopson. This is a working brewery and the people inside are freindly, honest and sincere. There is no corporate mentalityyet. I suspect as word of thier craft spreads demand will exceed supply and that may lead to the end of an era. Wonderful little palce, worth the visit.

Another brewery hidden in a small industrial park. I canít believe that such world class beers come from such a tiny brewery. I got a growler of Lil Devil, which I think is better than her bigger sister, Horny Devil. I was especially pleased to get a couple bottles of 2004 vintage of Speedway Stout. I will definately be back again. Give them a visit, you wonít regret it.

You know when you walk into some ones house for a small party, but you donít really know the person?...That is exactly the way you will feel walking into this awesome place. It is a small, garage type place, with little in the way of introductory pizazz. Either way, who cares? First, the owner and staff treat you like you are home. Second, the beers are amazing. Third, the samples are a plenty, and you feel like you are in the presence of greatness just being where they brew these fantastic and world renowned super beers. Tours are only on weekends. Find this place, and enjoy an afternoon with some of the the finest brews on earth.
