The biggest Alko in Finland I suppose. Not a bad selection of beers but one could expect more for a state-run store with monopoly on anything above 4.6%. Certainly overpriced but most of it is due to the Finnish taxes on alcohol.

Looks clean, bit sterile and expensive. Compared to Kamppi less quantity but more quality. Looks also bit more expensive, but I think it’s depends on taxing the alcohol by %.

Stable selection of finnish micros, quite a lot of german brews, a few belgians etc. Best thing about it is however the two sahtis in the fridge!

I’ll admit it, I was pretty impressed with this shop. Compared to the Swedish or Norwegian monopolies, Alko has reasonable opening hours and better prices. The selection wasn’t exactly wide, but there was some great stuff on the shelf, including Westv XII and some special relases from Nögne Ö (why doesn’t Sweden get this stuff?). I could only find one or two bottles from each of the major Finnish craft breweries, but I’m guessing they rotate? I was buying Finnish souvenir-beers (souvibeers!) so I didn’t really look at the prices for foreign stuff, I’m guessing they’re rather high, but the prices for Finnish stuff were not bad (for the nordic world).

Nice selection, decent selection of Finnish micros and surpringsly good selection of American beers too. To different sahtis were present at the time of my visit. Lots of interesting beers in the shelves, but the prices stopped med from going bananas.

Best beer shop in Finland, the flagship of Finnish monopoly. Average selection even it is best in Finland. Over priced as all in Finland.

I came here looking for some local commercially available sahtis. Unfortunately the selection is a bit thin although it does encompass a diverse range of Finnish breweries. You can even pick up a couple international ticks if you like at higher prices than you’ll find elsewhere in Europe. Swing by here but don’t expect much in the way of a good deal.

In the same building as Finnish alcohol monopoly Alko headquarter near parliament house. Has its own special selection of alcohol drinks on the side of the normal selection. Best beer shop in Finland, unfortunately.

The flagship store of the Finnish monopoly. Bright, clean place. The selection is ok - you’ll find things that can’t be bought elsewhere in Finland - but still limited to whatever the monopoly decides to include in its selection (which is, beer-wise, quite limited). The quality of the service varies. Mostly quite eager to help, but too often the clerks resort to standard textbook advices.
