Strange location and building for a shop, but all in all, not much better or worse than Fermentations. Prices seem about the same as well. Willing to order for you. All about which side of town you live on, not worth driving to either shop in Knoxville over the other.

Mr. Allen has got to be about 70 years old, and has been brewing since the 70’s. He’s got a Mexican marijuana bag hanging up when you come in the front door! He pretty much only makes wine now, and sells mostly starter stuff, beer and wine kits, and some small liquor stills. Has all the supplies for beer making from extract; lots of hardware accessories, and some grains and yeasts. Always ready to give you a sample brew that other customers have brewed and left in his fridge, if your nice. Reasonable prices for brew products, and will order anything you want. Also free advice on how to grow tomatoes, make molasses, cure arthritis, and manufacture any kind of alcohol you desire! I have been by there a few times on Wednesdays, when he’s "Closed", but Harry is always there and says "Come on in". This place is a classic.

In an old house in south Knoxville, it’s clearly for extract brewers. Can be a little pricey, but very friendly atmosphere.

Not really convenient to anywhere except downtown and South Knox. Customer area about as big as a couple of walk-in closets. Quirky. Lots of extracts, bottles, and doodads attractively displayed; no dust. Good price on pound bags of hops. Staff will want you to stick around and talk. Only grain in stock is 2row, but will order anything their wholesaler carries.

Located in an old TV repair shop. Geared for extract brewers. So se;lection is very limited. Fun place to hang out and drink a brew (if they got one). Really funky place in Vestal community. Got my first stuff there!
