As far as I’m concerned, if you’re in town for the night and are looking for somewhere to have a great brew, some nice food and chat with some folks about beer, life, love or philosophy, Flatbread is your place. The staff is friendly and know about the beers on tap. The list is always changing, and there are a variety of offerings from both in-house and "from beyond." Jeff (Bar manager) and Paul (Head brewer) have done a lot to create the best possible beer bar, with the largest list in the area and the a great collection of rare whiskies and other fine spirits.
Paul is an incredibly talented brewery and never ceases to amaze me with his ability to brew a wide range of styles (English, Begian, German, etc) and nail it every time. He is very to true style but he is not afraid to experiment. Some brewpubs brew beers that cater to the "casual public," and although you will find a couple "session ales" on the list, there is sure to be a beer style up on the

Definitely worthy of a few visits. I was impressed with the overall beer quality across a solid range of styles with the Belgians particularly fun and tasty brews. Keep in mind they have about 20 house brews. There’s also one cask offering. As mentioned, the flatbreads are delicious. The bartenders are friendly and chatty. There’s outside seating for the warmer days. A great spot.

Solid service, dozen or so of their zero gravity beers, good range of styles. Bar side seems a bit more lively.

Went for lunch with jamesewelch on a relaxed Monday noon. The building is located right in front of the line of strictly enforced parking meters that locals have become all too familiar with. First off, the large wooden entry door is gloriously attractive: looked like it was a polished maple wood; I was thinking its handle must have been bronzed. In any case, *wow*. It’s a dimly lit setting with which an incrdibly clean bar gives Burlington its magnificent reputation. Sampled 2-3 beers, all good, before finally making my decision. Our bartender could almost certainly work for the White House, as the service had been excessively top-notch. The pizza was splendidly filling and, above all, delicious. Will be back.

Very nice bar. Last time we went in the summer and the beer garden was open. Heady Topper in the summer sun works for me!

This is a cozy, packed (even on Thursday) and authentic wood-fired pizza place (pizza was A+) that also boasts a sturdy list of quality in-house beers. Burlington’s #1 beer destination in my book. (Brewery #674).

When I visited: Late May 2013.
What I had: Zero Gravity Black Cat Porter and T.L.A. India Pale Ale on tap, two Evolution Salads, Punctuated Equilibrium Flatbread to split, several white wines for my girlfriend.
What I liked: Wonderfully warm atmosphere, lots of privacy at our four-seater booth, superb food, efficient service, beers are above average in quality, very good pint prices ($5 full, $3 half), they brew a wide range of styles, serve cask ale, and have a small but respectable cider and mead selection.
What I disliked: Our waiter could have been a little friendlier, but he smiled and brought everything to the table quickly so it wasn’t that big of an issue.
Would I go back? Definitely. Flatbread has pretty much everything I expect from a great brewpub.
Overall Rating: 90

Literally stumbled across this place while walking around the farmer’s market (to those not from Burlington...they have one really large and great farmer’s market here). I went in and on the bartender’s recommendation had the house specialty...flatbread pizza. It was very good but not as good as the "Flatbread Company" (no "American" in the name) in eastern New England. The Zero Gravity beers were very good. I would not say great...but very good with a couple of standouts. For me this place is a little overated on RateBeer. I think The Farmhouse Tap & Grill is much better...but any craftbeer trip to Burlington should include a visit to both so you can decide for yourself. I do recommend this place in spite of my rating the other a bit higher.
