Great downtown location, very clean. The brewery equipment is literally right behind the bar, which is cool. The service was excellent. We talked about the beers. The bartender could tells us information about each beer and had tried them. She also gave us advice about other places in town to each, visit, and hit happy hour. They didn’t slack on the pour, each glass was topped off. They do the best they can on selection. I don’t think they can brew fast enough for demand, so they bring in other micros to compensate. Would stop in again if in town.

If you’re in Ventura, this is your best bet for brew. Not a big brewpub, only has 5 taps for their beers, but every one was pretty solid. Food was good and staff was friendly. Pretty small seating area, but I didn’t have trouble getting a seat at the bar. Not mind-blowing, but worth visiting.

Brick wall and old brewery tank decor a slightly cave-like feel due to dark lighting and lots of light coming from the distant all-glass street-front. Good, friendly service. Decent but typical food the sweet potato fries were nice. Only four house beers. They were all decent, but nothing really stood out. I would come back to see what other beers they have in the future, but a brewpub with only four beers needs to get there act together if they want to attract more beer enthusiasts.

A cool little hole in the wall in downtown Ventura near the Mission. Above average beer and great friendly service. Only about 5 beers from them available at any time, but worth a stop. I didn’t try the food.

Casual set up, long bar separates tanks from 2 rows of tables. Nice little patio. Bar service was very friendly, beers were good overall (only 4 the 5th was in transition). Did not eat but regular brewpub menu.

Went in March 2002 prior to my Ratebeerian days. Wasn’t impressed. Standard/average restaurant that wants to be a brewpub.
