Another upscale type of place where everyone dresses nice but really makes 40K. Regardless the bartender was quite nice and gave his opinions on several beers. Surprisingly knowledgeable. We ended up ordering a glass of the PAC Brew Labs DIPA (not sure yet where they are actually brewing this stuff but I assume itís at Thirsty Bear), Beltane Brewing Blue Jeans, and a free taste of the Linden Street Urban Peopleís Steam Beer. Prices were high, as was to be expected.
This place is essentially in an alley (small one way street) and right next to a giant construction site which is pretty cool to look at. You can see down underneath the city and see just how far down the underground infrastructure goes. The restaurant itself is fairly dark and fancy looking.
Would really only stop again if someone wanted to eat here or to check out the eclectic tick collection. And itís only a couple blocks from Thirsty Bear if youíre going there.

Fantastic restaurant, very expensive. Book a reservation in advance and honestly. I love the food here but wouldnít come JUST for the beer. there are other straight up bars that are a better value. This is a great restaurant for tourists and locals.

Never got around to rating this. Pretty good taplist, ran a Younger event that was a bit of a zoo, but much better than Zwanze day at the Trappist. Food is good, prices are high, service is ok.

This is a nice restaurant with a good beer selection. There are a lot of places like this in San Francisco that arenít in our database, but his one does stand out slightly above the others in terms of selection. The prices are high, so I only come here for the raw oyster specials which are very good.

Probably your best option for good beer in downtown SF area. Having a good beer and oysters at the bar in the afternoon is perfect. Real expensive.

Quality spot. They somehow manage to combine a wharf motif with modern stainless accents to create a comfortable place to enjoy a plate of oysters with yur beer. Respectable set of taps, but nothing particularly unique when I was there. The service may be nice to look at, but theyíre far from efficient or knowledagble about their beers. Oh, and itís expensive -- know that.

Wow, this place really took me by surprise. I went here to tick off their bacon-wrapped oysters on the Top 100 things to eat in San Francisco list. Little did I know that this was one hell of a beer restaurant! When we walked in the door, the hostess told us, "Hereís the food menu, hereís the wine list, and hereís the beer list." I did a double-take. What, a nice restaurant actually gets it for once? Unbelievable. The list is long and diverse. Nothing too rare or special, but just good beers from a broad range of styles and places of origin. Sure itís expensive, but the quality of the food and beer makes it worth it if youíre willing to splurge a little. The atmosphere is excellent, really high class yet comforting, and the service is very good. Iíll be back!

Awesome venue in San Francisco. Of all the beer spots in the city, this one is the best because the food and service are both fantastic. Great beer selection and cask is also available. Happy hour is one of my favorites in the Financial District.
