Friendly and informal, and when they recognized I had some beer knowledge, the staff asked me for my opinion on beer and food pairings. The courtyard is lovely in mellow weather, but it is to the book bar at the far back you need to go for the interesting beers..

Two bars, at the first one you get good food, second bar there is an OK selection of some great beers. The selection seems to improve every time i visit. Nice, helpful people working behind the bar.

Apparently there are two bars in this bar but the other one (Bokbar?) was closed when I visited. The bartender was kind enought to take me to the closed bar with much better selection of Norwegian microbrews. Nice selection of Nøgne Ø and Haandbryggeriet. Not that expensive although everything’s expensive in Norway. The interior has a bit of a hippie feeling. It was the only rated bar open in Trondheim when I visited the city.

Small and cozy place in Trondheim. Their beer selection is not that great. A few bottles of norwegian micros as well as a few trappists. If you’re looking for beer you’re better off visiting their neighbour Den Gode Nabo just across the street.

Hippie place in the middle of the touristy area of Bakklandet. 2 bars, with the one at the very end beeing the one with the best beer. Full range from Nøgne Ø and Inderøy Gårdsbryggeri. Also some from Kinn(3), Haandbryggeriet(5), Ægir(1-3), Chimay(3) etc. Good prices. Not very good on glassware. This is a good option if you wish to snack on some local foods and have some good beers early in the evening, before walking across the street to the better, but WAY to expensive beerpub, Naboen. Edit: Now also lots of beers from Haandbryggeriet. Edit2: Getting better!
