Good new brewery in Louisville that my wife and I stopped at while in town. Beer selection was solid, and service was great. No food (and only open Friday and Saturday afternoons/evenings), but a pleasant stop nonetheless.

This is a must stop in the Louisville area if you are free Friday or Saturday nght. Parking may be a problem but the friendly bartenders (who also are the brewers) will make sure you have a good time.
The beer styles are mostly lower ABV (below 6%) which makes it easy to enjoy a couple. While the ambience brings to mind "industrial complex" (it is right next to a major interstate) it can get lively when the place fills up. As a bonus if you bring your dog you might get some free treats.

The small, mostly improvised brewing equipment visible on your left as you enter is the heart of the operation. The tasting area takes up half the space in this former sheet metal shop, but it’s still small, enough for four or so small tables, and a small bar with a few stools. They use the parking lot space, though, which is huge, and very nice in the summer. Definitely a small brewery with a tasting space tacked on, my favorite of all tasting areas. All the beers I tried were very solid, very tasty. Staff was terrific. They will give you one ounce pours for free, or half pints or full pints. I think I’d prefer a flight of, say, five beer, three or four ounces each, for a fair price, $5-7 or so. Chatted with Bill, who has plans for a very unique surprise for the brewery, hopefully sooner than later! Definitely worth seeking out.

Just happened to see this place in route to Sergio’s so decided to check it out. Fairly new place I guess started by some local homebrewers. Pretty friendly service and gave us a quick little “tour” (basically just pointing out the equipment from the taproom). Tiny taproom with a small bar and some tables, filled up pretty quick. They had about 6 or 7 beers on, mostly standard styles. Beers were solid all around. Food trucks are usually around from what they said although it was pouring rain when we showed up. Prices are fair, no samplers though. Nice little brewery, might turn out some good stuff in the future.

Although they have limited hours, they have great beer and fun events whenever they open their doors. Great place to "bar hop" to and from. I only hope they expand to a microbrewery.

Stopped in on the way to Sergio’s. A nice place to try a few decent beers. They allow you to sample all their beers, then choose what you liked, good deal. Nothing extrordinary, but decent. Small seating area, which gets crowded quickly. We talke with the brewer/owner for a while and thanked him for allowing us to sample all of their beers. A good place to stop and try if you are in the area.

Warehouse area right next to the interstate. Very little seating inside but several picnic tables outside. Several taps available. Nice easy drinking beers. Food is available from a trailer outside - barbeque - didn’t have any but smelled spectacular. A nice place to spend a warm evening.

I was here when the brewery had been open for 3 weeks. The brewers were very friendly and informative, talking to us about the beer. Beer was solid for a place just getting started, but nothing special. There will be lots of room for experimentation and improvement. Just a handful of stools at a small counter inside, and picnic tables and a food truck outside. I wonder if they have plans for winter? We had a teenager along, who was able to sit outside with us and have a coke.

Have been twice now. The bar area is quite small. Maybe 5-6 stools and then outside 4-5 picnic tables. Owners/brewers are very cool people have known them for awhile. Glad they are making this jump. Like their beer line up. If you are expecting outrageous beers you might have to wait. If you are looking for simple yet flavorful beers this is going to be a great place.

I went out on opening night to give ABW a look, and was pleased overall with the experience. The taproom is quite small, but this was not an issue on slightly cool spring night; however, I wonder how they will account for this in cold or bad weather? The brewers and some staff were selling beer and chatting with whomever they could; very friendly. Their beer lineup is solid (from what I had) but doesn’t seem to take too many risks. Once again, with just opening, perhaps they will branch out later. There was a food truck on the premises tonight selling some tasty pork products; it seems that this brewery/food truck model is picking up steam in KY. ABW had some picnic tables outside for anyone who wants to sit and eat. Beer on opening night was $3/glass. A good start, I look forward to seeing this place grow.
