78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 Dickinsonbeer (31) Hoboken, New Jersey | November 7, 2005 I could be mistaken, but I think someone that worked for ABC said they are the largest brewpub in the US as far as beer production. Makes sense, since thier main fermenters are freaking MASSIVE. They make about 4-5 beers which are mass produced all year round, but then they have a seasonal beer come out at least once a month (someitmes more then 1) and they stay on for about 3 months at a time. They will usually have some specialty/experimental beers on tap as well. This usually adds up to about 10 different ABC beers on tap at any given time of the year. The ambience is of your typical nice upscale brewpub. 2 levels- the first floor being the traditional original brewpub atmosphere, and the 2nd floor used to be a sports bar, but they recently changed it to an abbey bar, serving a very good selection of belgian (plus a couple german) beers. De Dolle’s, Chouffe, Weihenstephan, westmalle, karmeliet, etc. all the typical well made belgians plus maybe a few oddballs. The prices of these belgians was actually pretty cheap compared to any other PA restaurant. Food is pretty good as well. I have had some good pizza here, as well as your typical pulled pork, and fried chicken sandwiches etc. They usually get some pretty good local and regional bands to play in the new abbey bar, which adds to the ambience. | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 Braudog (655) Hampton, Virginia | July 30, 2005 Although ABC falls into that average American brewpub category, they manage to put on some pretty respectable beers and the food is outstanding, so they earn better kudos. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 17/20 Nejhleader (73) Lemoyne, Pennsylvania | June 21, 2005| Updated January 31, 2009 some of the best food in Harrisburg, and a very nice atmosphere. A bit expensive, but basically worth it. Also plenty of selections of beer. Can get an eight 5oz(i think) sampler of their beers for a price. The service has been a lot better lately.. I also need to mention the abbey bar which is upstairs from the brewery which specializes in Belgium brews, and has an excellent atmosphere to its own. | 84 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 Hotspur2001 (12) Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | July 25, 2004 Really nice buliding - huge place with seating, large bar and upstairs sports bar. Beer is very good - Scottish Ale is one of the best around in my opinion. Service and food were both good too. | 46 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 3/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 11/20 michael-pollack (100) King of Prussia, Pennsylvania | April 1, 2004 Decent place.
