Visited while in town for the night on the 4th of July. Iím a big craft beer fan and wanted to stock up for my week long trip to Jekyll Island, GA. I was not disapointed I stopped here to do so! Fairly large place with a clean, appealing, easy to navagate layout and a huge selection of craft beer and wine. Some craft beers on tap, however I was shopping and didnít really look to see how many taps they had or what was being offered on them. Ending up getting a cart and filling it up because I found so many beers I wanted to try. Prices were average on most,(around $8-$10 per 22 oz bomber, $9-$12 per six pack), but great on more than a few, (I found and bought several good bombers for around $4-$6). There were also a small but good selection of singles available for around $2 each. They had numerous local and simi-local offerings, which were great. The guy working, (donít remember his name), was friendly, knowledgeable of the beers they were selling, and very helpful in recommendations. I ended up spending over $100, but could have easily spent double that had I had the money. I didnít realize they closed at 9:30PM. I was there until around 9:45 shopping and not once did the guy working rush me or act like he was annoyed that I was keeping him open. In fact he never mentioned it once. It wasnít until I was looking at their website later that night that I saw the hours. Actually he was talking beer with me and recommending things after they should have been closed. And keep in mind this was the night of 4th of July. Now that is great customer service! Between this place and Wicked Weed, (which were the only two craft beer places I had time to visit), Iím sold and am already planning a beer trip to Asheville next Spring. Canít wait!

Nice clean looking place. Beers were well organized. The selection was top tier, although Iíd seen everything at other top NC stores as well. Good growler list. Fun place to get bottles.

READ: Anything in the 80ís is not a good score! They maybe a "passing" grade but they are no where near what this place deserves. Where to start here. These guys (Chuck & Jeff) are super service oriented people. Itís kind of like visiting your good pals beer store...everytime. The selection is the best in Asheville hands down, with the prices blowing the doors off the ALL competitors. Iíve scored some real west coast gold here too: Lost Abbey, Russian River etc. unfortunately due to trophy hunters looking for another notch in their belt, these beers are only available to regulars now. Totally understandable IMO you have to show support to get beers theyíve gone WAY out of their way for. The local brew selection is the best in town too with a large growler selection from Pisgah, Nantahala, Catawba and Green Man. Website is usually not completely up to date with new arrivals so their ratebeer site usually is better, but a phone call has worked too.
20 tap lines rotating local/import sours, barrel aged beers and a cask pump, I had the Foothills Hoppyum IPA primed with honey last time, holy mother. They now have growlers!! NEVER seen a draft beer here that was not at least some what rare. Beautiful space, clean glassware, filtered water, large bar with seating for 25+ with tables and two large comfy couches. Beer area is in the back, well lit and spacious with shopping carts in the front when you walk in. Patio outside for smokers, fresh air. Wine selection is also huge if you are into that and dogs are welcome.
Parking lot beside the store is massive, free and clean and there are also at least six other lots around the store that you can park at for free so getting in and out is a breeze.
Best in Asheville for sure. If you visit take your time and talk to the owners they are super helpful and usually have something lying around that is not easily seen. If you are looking for specifics give them a call they will usually order beers that are not in stock.

Awesome bottle shop. Stopped in right after they opened one morning, spoke with the owner for a while, he help point out some of the local beers and other items that were a little harder to find. Was a little too early to try some of their taps, he said to come back later, but it just didnít work out. Was able to pick up quite a few interesting items to share with the folks back home. Well worth a stop whe you are in the area.

Nice store in Asheville that has a bunch of fun taps in addition to a ton of bottles. THey had some Allagash Midnight Brett during my visit, which was kind of cool. Some of the bottles were a little too dusty and not much is refrigerated. Still a pretty cool store.

Excellent selection of regionals and a very good selection of both American and import craft brews, Growler fills, small tasting area and knowledgeable and helpful staff. Most everything is available in singles. Prices are a bit high, but Asheville has become such a tourist town and this is right near Biltmore Village, so theyíre not unreasonable for the area.

Awesome beer store in Asheville for not only NC beer but great gems across the country. Huge selection of NC beers, lots of rarities from Pisgah and Wicked Weed. They offer some one off six pack bottles but not a ton or mix a six, so not a huge tickers spot. 20 drafts to growler only but they give you tastes if you ask. Service was nice and helpful and most importantly not pushy and liked to talk beer. Clean new feel to the place. Iíd be here all the time if close. Great spot.

A large shop given over to wine at the front, nicely displayed on racks and barrels, and at the back an eclectic range of American and European beers. Thereís a small bar and cafť area where they made us very welcome as part of the RBWG 2014 "meet and greet" evening and offered a choice of four draft beers. A fun experience and well worth visiting.
