Went on a Friday around lunchtime. Well lit, fairly typical brewpub atmosphere. The hostess seemed like she’d rather be dead than seat us, and she was pretty slow to bring around a high chair too. Took about 10 minutes to get our drinks and whenever anything was asked of our waiter, it would take him about 10-15 minutes to process and deliver. Beers were fairly good renditions of fairly common styles ($1 a 5-oz. sample and $2 a sample for the higher gravity stuff.) The jerk burger was really f’in spicy, and the choice of three ways to have your French fries is cool (Cajun, garlic, or regular.) Got two 750-ml. bottles for the road ($12 and $15), so we’ll see how they fair.

Decent food and bland/boring beers. Unfortunately they where out of IPA’s.

A rather worn down brewpub serving nice pubgrub, but the beers are mostly rather boring or uninteresting. We got friendly service, nothing to complain about there, but it sort of doesn’t help. We were advised to go here and not to Blue Tractor, but I’d recommend the other way around.

Nice little place in college town USA , Ann Arbor. Good food, college like service, and the beer... Nice selection of various stouts, porters , and ales but they were out of IPA’s, boo.

Around the street from Jolly Pumpkin. Feels more like a restaurant first & foremost, with a bar inside. The beer list is alright, but I’ve sadly never really fallen in love with many Arbor beers. Occasionally they’ll have a nice sour on tap but the regular offerings are just somewhat bland or uninteresting. Good food, decent service. A nice place to visit, have a beer, get a bite to eat, but with Jolly Pumpkin is literally a two minute walk away... Well. You know.

Ambiance: A cool place with nice old wood and brick walls, long bar that can hold a dozen people + a side bar that is open during busy times, plenty of tables everywhere
Service: Bartenders were attentive, even when busy and knowledgeable about the beers.
Selection: Decent selection of their beers, a nice variety even though the quality wasnt always there.
Value: Beers were slightly higher for the lack of quality but still cheaper than JP.
Overall, a nice place to try something different, great if you like shuffle board but can do without Ann Arbor breweries.

A very large but dated brewpub. Everything just needs a bit of TLC. Service was decent but nothing special. Lots of taps with tons of their own brews. We didn’t eat, but it looked like a good menu. Prices are very good and the beer was generally pretty good. A great watering hole.

Bar and dining section look nice, it was in the middle of the afternoon and it was empty, the hostess have us seated in the far back near the toilets !!! The good thing is that we were seated with a view on the brewery, the bad thing is that we noted the brewery was filthy, dirty floor, dirty tanks and dirty ceiling.
We took three flight and one beer out of three were infected, the rest was near ok, plus they were too warm.
We left to Jolly Pumpkin !

Stopped in on the way to Grand Rapids for RBSG. It was a Thursday night and there was a game that had just ended so downtown was crazy. It was a cool atmosphere but parking sucked and there were a lot of people making it hard to get anywhere. The set up was nice with the bar right by the door, even if there weren’t many seats. There weren’t a ton of house beers on at the time but they had a bunch of bottles available, all of which were very expensive. Service was prompt and they were happy to provide flights for my brother and I. What’s nice is that this place is pretty much right next door to two other breweries and walking distance from Jolly Pumpkin as well some cool bars. I definitely need to come back to Ann Arbor some day.

A nice brewpub in downtown Ann Arbor. A large three room brewpub with a relatively small bar and not many TVs. Servers are overall knowledgeable and pleasant. Not the best beer in Ann Arbor but a good selection overall. Prices are fair and food is solid.
