Nice place. Some good taps like epic hop zombie, nogne and 8wired. Little pricey but almost 400 bottles from denmark, usa, new zealand... Very good!

In the self-conscious part of Brissie, but this seemed a laid-back and welcoming sort of a spot. Go though the deck and the main room and you get to the "Next Door" bar that can also be entered from Russell St. This part does growler fills and has a (overcold to my mind) packed cool room for off-site purchases. A lot to like here.

Not that long walk over from Brisbane Brewhouse. After I was done here not that long of a walk into the central city.
They offer a tasting paddle, 6 beers for $20, so had one of these. Also ate a pizza.
Wasn’t very clear on writing out what brewery the different beers were from. Fairly large place with plenty of seating, but was busy so had to ask another company if I could use the side of their table.
Good service once they had time, but the crowd made it hard to really talk or for the staff to stick around long enough to give you info.
Lots of Matilda Bay beers, perhaps only this evening, but if that is regular not that impressive since I’ve seen them around so many other places too.

Large space in Brisbane's West End. Store, bar, and bistro. The bottles ate heavily marked up for in-house drinking. The bottle selection in the store is good, though. No Macros. Lots of quality regional micros and international goodies too with heavy USA emphasis but a few surprises too.

Great place to buy hard to find beer in Brisbane. Only critique in the lack of experienced staff behind the bar at night, and the really poor acoustics - as soon as the bar fills out it can be difficult to enjoy the atmosphere. But I have picked up some beautiful brews here.

One of Brisbane’s iconic craft beer haunts. It’s probably best to avoid on Friday or Saturday nights though as it can get incredibly crowded. At other times though, the staff are knowledgeable and approachable, and the selection is generally excellent. Their Back Door Cellar is the highlight for me. Good range, rotating regularly. One of the better spots for craft beer in Brisbane.

Selection is definitely what makes this place for beer connoisseurs. For the rest of the public, it’s just the fact that it makes them look like they’re craft beer enthusiasts, even if they’re not. The atmosphere is only good if its not full of wannabe hipsters on a friday or saturday night. The management tread a fine line between pleasing the beer enthusiasts and the seen crowd, but they do it pretty well. I recommend going in daylight during the week if you’re going for the beer and not the street cred. Again, can’t reiterate how good the selection is relative to the rest of Brisbane. The Back Door Cellars store (out the back of the bar, as the name suggests) also has more or less all the beers on the menu available for takeaway, and is definitely the largest high-quality selection of craft beer in Brisbane. Nice couches in the back room, and the back bar is much better than the front. They’ve set this place out well; people who like beer have a place to go, and people who just like drinking beer also have their place to go. Well worth a visit.

The beer mecca for Brisbane. Onwards and upwards but all the time twirling!

Large bistro located in busy West End. An OK tap selection in the main bar, although if you’re familiar with Aussie beers you may find the taps a little on the dull side. There’s an attached beer shop and bar to the right of the main bar, which normally have something more exciting available. They do growler fills. Some interesting bottles on offer. Staff seemed clueless and disinterested on numerous visits. Didn’t bother trying food here. Not really a fan of the venue and layout but for Brisbane it’s a big step forward for craft beer. I’d hate to think what it’s like on a busy weekend night though...
