Armsby Abbey is in downtown Worcester and we stopped here to meet up with lushawn and his lady on our way into Boston. We had to wait a little bit for a table but they were able to move a large group to a bigger table, opening up two. The first thing that caught my eye on the menu was Hill Farmstead Ephraim. Wow. Yes, please and thank you. The tap list was not massive but all-killer-no-filler. Good mix of local, regional, national, and international tap choices. The bottle list looked ridiculous. Iím on a budget while traveling the country, so I didnít even bother, but there are gems to be had if you are willing to spend the money. The food was good, but the menu is fairly limited. They were out of quite a few things when we were there, too. Prices are a little on the high side, but maybe thatís just my Midwestern perspective. All in all, top-notch bar in a city I might not make it back to, so Iím glad we made it in here when we had the chance. A must-visit if youíre nearby.

OK, so this place had an unblended Cantillon lambik on draft, the only place in the US that Iíve ever seen such a thing how cool is that? The atmosphere is also cool. The place was smaller than I expected, but the music was really good, the staff was terrific, and the tap selection Was abosultely amazing. Oh, and the food was spectacular. Definitely worth going far out of your way to find this place.

Fine spot in Worcester I found during The Festival. Had an absolutely superb selection of beers. Service was slightly slow, but in all liklihood this was due to the fact that the bar was absolutely slammed because of all the out of town business from The Festival. I bet on other weekends the service is much quicker. The food I tried was quite tasty and complementary of the beers on draft. Iíd go back when in Worcester for sure.

I can only hope to be present in such an acclomlished establishment again in my life. The food is done right from itís origins to the presentation of the plate. The food menu reads like someone very passionate is behind it, and it shows in the final product. The beers were all served at great temps and in fantastic and appropriate glassware. From sours to ipaís to stouts to lambics and gueuze to Belgian strongs and vintages all around, WOW have they gotcha covered! A comfortable place where you might want slap one of the staff on the bottom, but you wonít because youíll want to return for sure. Enjoy the professionalism and passion of these fine people. Cheers to the Armsby Abbey.

What a great place. Stopped in for brunch after EBF. Food was top notch and reasonable (they smoke their own bacon, have changing menus based on local ingredients and what the chefs feel like making...o and the food tastes great). It was fairly quiet when we went around 11:30 but it quickly filled up, they still had 5 LA beers on tap including Sinners 10, Duck Duck Guava and CdT. Also had bottles of Cantillon (which I understand is not so usual in the US) along with many other tasty offerings. Staff was very friendly and quite knowledable, and it was a great place to hang out. Wish this was my local watering hole...although then I would be broke...

Unfortunately missed the Hill Farmstead weekend, but was able to catch the tail end of it on Monday. They still had the Foster, Motueka, George, and James on tap. They offer paddle tasters of 4, so I was able to try all 4 during lunch without falling off my bar stool. They were all spectacular, but the George was my favorite. The bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly, and there is obviously a great relationship between Armsby Abbey and Hill Farmstead (supposedly a pseudo-release party for MA). The decor was nice and cozy compared to its restrained exterior. A long bar on the right probably serves 15 people, with tables on the left and a communal bar top in the middle with stools. Food was very good ranging from specialty pizzas to a varying list of cheeses from all over. I found the prices to be quite reasonable, especially the Hill Farmstead. Definitely a new destination for me.

Smaller craft beer bar that looks very discrete from the outside, but once you get inside, you can see why it is well known. A good amount of beers on tap and huge bottle list. Some extremely rare beers on bottle and a great selection of local and more common good beers on tap. Prices are a bit steep but they can command the price with a selection like they have. Staff knew what they were doing and were very friendly. I talked to them about the CBS release and the last dark lord day. Fellow beer enthusiasts through and through.

I live an hour+ from here, so I canít believe itís taken me this long to check it out. What an amazing place. Incredible tap list. Incredible bottle selection. Food menu is limited, but very good. Everything is organic and from local farms. They tell you on the menu what farm itís from. Everything is delicious. The waitress we had was attentive, without being a pest, and knew her beer. Ya, itís a bit pricey, but if you want high end, you got to be prepared to pay for it.
