Top-notch place to go and have a good beer. Besides thier own they had a GREAT selection of other beers (can you say Chimay). Pizza was great, loved their selection of weird toppings. Did not see a movie, but that must be pretty cool as well.

Very cool hippie nerd kitsch style decor adorns this brewpub. I especially liked the handpainted Star Wars cantina scene in one corner. I went on 02/13/2010 and they had 10 of their own on tap plus a few guests. Beer was solid overall with the standouts being their ESP and Ninja Porter. Good sandwiches and pub grub as well. The bartender was friendly and beer knowledgeable. They also have a 150 person movie theater on premises where they serve their beer. Thereís a few hi-tops out front for warmer days. I would definitely go back. Over and Over again.

Went to the new location on Coxe Ave. We met Mitch there who was pouring. We were there near the end of the night so we did the sampler. They were nice size pours but just a bit pricy. Beers were great as was the service. No food that I saw.

really great place, I always find it fascinating how diverse this place is, and they really try hard to accomodate everyone, great for families, games, kids menu, atmosphere, kids night etc... great for pub lovers, cool bar (set away from the game room(kids) a frequent drinkers glass/stein they give, a great restaurant with great pizza, a good outside spot to sit, great location, they also have a movie theatre, where you can get, beer, pizza and a movie, this place really is tops, you can bring almost anybody here and they will find thier nitche, and not bother anyone else... kudos...

Stopped here to try out some local brews while in the area. You get to pick your own flights, which is nice, so you can try exactly what you want For a small place, they have quite a few brews on tap, mostly their own and almost all local. Food is decent, but nothing to speak all that highly of. Definitely worth a stop if youíre in the area.

Not only is this place a brew-pub, and a pizza bakery, it is also a converted movie theater. Excellent murals adorn the walls inside and out. The furniture and pool tables are a little grungy, but this only adds to the atmosphere. The in-house brews are excellent for the price. Plus you can see second-run movies on a big screen for $2 while you eat and drink. When theyíre not showing movies on the big screen thereís usually sports, or cartoons. You really canít beat this place for overall entertainment value. If youíre in Asheville you MUST visit t his place.

North on Merrimon Ave from Bruisin Ales. It seems to be a movie theater as well. Amazing decor. From Star Wars Cantina scene murals to Raising Arizona on the bathroom doors, Aquaman, Castle scene, to pizza and beer Dali. Very cool. Beers are well done as well. Pizza is well made... endless toppings. Basics to extreme (even peanuts??) Great stop.

Very cool place, funky decor, happy and attentive staff. The food is very good and the beer good to pretty good. Itís definitely worth a special trip just for the coolness factor and the relative quality of the food and beer. But, if you canít make it and are staying int he area, no worries....they will deliver food AND growlers to you! If I lived there I would take much advantage of that.
