A really fun place to go especially on a nice autumn day. Their house brews are good, even if theyíre not great. Donít look for anything too exotic or life-changing on offer, but they produce some solid American micro-style classics (the Porter is my standby favorite). Their pizza is very good as well, and pairs nicely with their pints. And, itís a movie house whatís not to love? Good micro beer, great freshly-made pizza, and big-screen movies, without worrying about getting sauce or stains on your sofa. Check them out if youíve got a couple of days in Asheville or if youíre looking for a good Saturday outing.

Big open place, alot of spce that could be used for more tables or something. met Mitch, who was pouring beers that night. he was very friendly and knowledgeable. i just tried their Ninja Porter which was pretty average. It was late at night, so I didnt get a sampler. Didnt eat anything either. Decent little place, I wish I could have tried more of their beer.

Went to the new location on Coxe Ave. We met Mitch there who was pouring. We were there near the end of the night so we did the sampler. They were nice size pours but just a bit pricy. Beers were great as was the service. No food that I saw.

Decent food, OK beer, knowledgeable staff. A college bar ambiance, but seems to have a fairly diverse crowd and is family friendly, which I like. They were out of half of the 10 house brews listed when I was there, and it seemed a few tasted a tad sour from hot kegs, but they did give me a sampler flight in plastic cups of the 5 they did have. OK veggie lasagna.

really great place, I always find it fascinating how diverse this place is, and they really try hard to accomodate everyone, great for families, games, kids menu, atmosphere, kids night etc... great for pub lovers, cool bar (set away from the game room(kids) a frequent drinkers glass/stein they give, a great restaurant with great pizza, a good outside spot to sit, great location, they also have a movie theatre, where you can get, beer, pizza and a movie, this place really is tops, you can bring almost anybody here and they will find thier nitche, and not bother anyone else... kudos...

Brewpub north of downtown. They had 8 house beers the night I visited. They donít have a samper, but you can ask for samples to help you narrow your ultimate beer request. I milked it a bit. In general the beers are pretty good. Didnít eat here. Pretty representative of the rest of Asheville...very liberal crowd. I didnít check out the downstairs theater.

Visited here in June of í06 on a Saturday night. Small, but friendly crowd - a few trickled in later for the movie neat concept. Had at least eight of their own on tap - good vriety of choices - plus about a dozen or so guest taps - many from local brewers and a decent import or two. Beer was above average for a brewpub and the food was on par. Friendly, talkative servers - even struck up a conversation with one of the brewer helpers. Stop by if in Asheville - worth a stop - and plenty of parking - unlike downtown!

I should have checked out the theater before I sat down in the main dining area (looked cool). Very casual place and hippie friendly. Food was OK. Nachos were very tasty but lacked size. Pizza, to my surprise, was not all that. A bit disappointing really. The beer was good but they made me buy one of their crappy growlers with a screw top lid to get beer to go. To bad for them, as I had intended to fill the growlers in my car with various beer and bring them back to Ohio & Alabama to share. All and all I would return (as the beer is good), but I am less excited about the place now that Iíve been there. Service was quick but not that friendly.

This place is really unique for the area. Cheap movies playing, brewery, free board games and NES, tasty pizza, and really weird decor. I havenít had anything remarkably great from here, but I havenít yet had their stout. I like the ambiance well enough, at least for a change of pace, and the prices are quite fair for the brews.

without trying to be too un-P.C. Iím gonna go out on a limb and steretype the right person to enjoy this place. I was with some conservative and they hated it. if your moderate to liberal youíll love it. its sort of hippy-ish along with the general feel of asheville. lots of funky colors and murals and artwork all over the place. it feels a bit disorganized and disorienting with all the decor but its an inviting maze of chaos. waiters are young and knowledgeable but kind of laxidasical. (I was a waitress so I can say this). it took forever for someone to give us a menu, get our drinks, get our food and the waiter/waitress (we seemed to have been served by three different people throughout the night) completely disappeared when we needed our check and were trying to get out of there. some of the pizzas in my group were awesome, the others were only o.k. so it seems to be hit or miss. there are lots of diff. kinds of pizzas but you must go there for pizza. if you arenít in a rush and there to stay and have some beers/drinks then youíll probably enjoy the mish-mosh of people and colors that the atmosphere invites. otherwise, you might want to pick somewhere faster, cleaner and more sane.
