Very nice location, walking distance to Notre Dame and the Louvre. Located on a beautiful little tree lined side street, (4 rue Saint-Denis). Sidewalk tables are best by far. Belgian beer selection is very good, with all Trappistes available except Westvleteren (so what’s new). Waiters are okay, bar tenders are very helpful and informative. Food is quite good. Everything is expensive, but this ls Paris. Don’t complain; you could be doing much worse than sipping a Rochefort 10 while watching beautiful Parisian women walk by. I have been to Au Trappiste several times and have never been disappointed.

Good belgian beers, and that is not easy to find in Paris! Service could be better.

The prime location should make this the hq for any beer lovers visiting Paris. The selection is not adventuresome, but solid with all of the commercially available Trappist beers available, plus some other nice choices. The manager, Andre, ensures that the service is what it needs to be.

A good selection of Belgian beers (one of the best for a pub in Paris !) and a cosy ambiance for this pub in the center of Paris. The service can be friendly or barely good depending on who you got... And prices are definitely expensive.
