A reason to go to Roppongi. Really nice pizzas (if a little expensive) and 5 August beers on tap (not quite so expensive). Worth going just for the Toshiís IPA and Snow Blanche in my opinion. Also open during the day which is a bit of a rarity in Tokyo. Good helpful staff too. They gave us tasters of the beers we hadnít ordered (which admittedly I had drunk before, but hell, itís free beer!).

Quite a strange atmosphere, a mixture of a wooden pizzeria and a vintage 80ís diner. They have 5 house taps including one seasonal, all brewed at Gotemba Kogen and of average quality, served in 3 sizes. Handmade pizzas are quite tasty but fairly tiny, similar issue with meat dishes (served without sides) despite the high pricing. OK place for a quick pint and a ginger-fried chicken basket, but pretty overpriced for a full meal.

As I was staying nearby at a friendís place the last time I was in Tokyo (maybe 1-2 years ago) I dropped in for a visit. A clear place of wood, brass & chrome with friendly outgoing staff and decent house beers. Worth a stop if youíre nearby and want to chill. The fact it is open during the day is a big plus for me.
