Great old beer hall; good food (had duck with red cabbage and potato dumpling); was in a large group and service was excellent. Augustiner beer is ALWAYS great

Stopped in after walking around the Oktoberfest area for most of the day. The place was pretty crowded but we were able to get a table rather quickly. Service was decent if a bit indifferent. I am willing to cut them a little bit a of break since the place was pretty busy. Pretty standard Munich beer hall fare for food but it was good. The building is very nice though. I would recommend going during a week night when it might be less crowded.

Just had one Lagerbier Hell here, no food. but service was good. Beer slection is just their’s, nothing wrong with that. The place is beautiful, inside and out. We were here on a Saturday when most of the stores are closed so getting in and set up was easy.

Huge beer hall right in the center of Munich. Pretty full on a Friday night but we were able to get seated immediately. The beer selection was lacking with only 5 of their own beers on tap. Food is decent but nothing special. Prices were a little higher than other brauhauses probably due to the central location. Service was slow. Not on par with the better places to visit in Munich.

Nice beer hall along the busy thoroughfare leading to Marienplatz. I had dinner here and food was decent and the lagerbier hit the spot nicely after many hours travelling. Service was good. Not too crowded in the garden.

Nice spot. Big interior rooms with plenty of seating. A modest range of beers. Very friendly staff (something of a marked contrast against the servers from some of the nearby beer hall joints). The beers here aren’t the most complex in the world but they are among the most drinkable. I had a great time here and would recommend a visit.

Beautiful traditional beer hall. Food and beer is average munich Brauhaus stuff. Service is below average: I have been there two times in different seasons, everytime slow service and unfriendly staff. Always crowded by tourists. Apart from the beautiful architecture and interior not really worth a visit as there are way better beer halls in Munich in my opinion.

Real Germanic place, with nice vaults and huge lampadari. Old style. Some beer is fresh and good. Ordinary German pub grub.

A big bierhalle and quite dull place mostly for attracting tourists at least I didn’t get any specially good wibes from the atmosphere visiting in the middle of the day. Few Augustiner beers available and service was just ok. Not a very good place compared to Augustiner Bräustuben.

Augustiner joint in the city centre. Absolutely mobbed on the weekend of the German cup final. Had the slight feel of a German Witherspoons. In the sense that it occupied a very grand piece of real estate right in the city centre. The place was mobbed, the service was slow, the pretzels were good. Stayed for one then bailed.

As a beer lover nowhere near as good as the Braustubl as the tacky tourism/commercialism overrides the beery atmosphere. The architecture however and the good quality Augustiner beers still make this place a worthy quick visit! On a weekday in winter they can close early.
