Great Augustiner beer right by the Hobrauhaus; ate a light lunch and a couple of Helles. Was quiet and cozy; very different than its famous neighbor across the street

Brewery restaurant for the best Munchen big brewery. Beer here is always excellent. Also try in warm season Augustiner Keller in Arnulfstrasse - grilled chicken is a masterpiece there.

The real Augustiner…! Very close to the Augustiner Brauerei and partly located in the brewery’s converted stables and the converted old smithy; even though not far from the main railway station far less touristy and less noisy than the huge Augustiner Bierhalle in the pedestrian zone; typical bavarian interior ( dark wooden furniture, half panelled walls, partly vaulted ceilings and so on…), fortunately not kitchy and - regarding the size - pretty unspoilt and cozy. Very decent Augustiner Bier is served, what else! Worth a detour…

I visited the Augustiner Braeu on September 30th 2014. Augustiner is my favorit lager in Munich. It is one of the oldest breweries in the region. Liked the beer garden, also food was good typical for Munich.

The epitome of an authentic Bavarian beerhall. The beer, the food, the staff, the crowd made this place special. Not to be missed.

Very traditional place, always packed by locals. Great selection of augustiner biers at lowest prices in the city. They have augustiner helles (2.65 euro) from holzfass since 17.00. When place is packed, one barrel survives only 10 minutes (do not try to compare it with Dusseldorf - they have only one beer on tap v.s. 3-4 beers on tap at Augustiner + 2 from bottles). I really love this place, this is the one of my favourites in Munich.

Bierhalle over the road from our Hostel. Lovely tradition German Bierhale full of traditional Germans. Long tables and tons of space. Good selection of Augustiner biers, some served from casks! They make a bit of a ceremony of tapping the casks. This was probaby the best of the Augustiner bierhalles. Augustiner really seems to have the centra Munich bierhall scene sewn up.

Piatti più particolari rispetto alla tradizione per questo braustuben un pò fuori dal centro. Personale cortese, buona birra e bel posto nel complesso.

Went here for a few Augustiner brews. Inexpensive place to try them. Nice looking place inside (and outside too). The staff were sharp, right on time asking would we like to have more beers. Food looked good too but we weren’t hungry at the time.

Probably the most traditional of all the brewery taps. Augustiner beers are among the best in Munich and always a good choice here of their regular brews and seasonal including their fantastic Maximator doppelbock. Often busy, one often has to squeeze onto a table already occupied by locals who are very amenable. Food is as good as their exceptional beers. The map here is misleading as I have always entered from Landsberger Strasse. I much prefer this Augustiner venue than the tourist trap on Neuhauser Strasse especially as you are more likely to find a seasonal beer here. I think the rating before mine refers to their Augustiner Am Platz branch which offers far less choice beer wise. Although Ratebeer has this as a restaurant you are welcome to just drink so please do not let that put you off coming!
