Been here numerous times over the years. Food and service are always good. Goes from nice restaurant to hipster bar (serving a heavy restaurant industry clientele- I think) in the evening. Selection decent, but only bottles. Would like a few more surprises on the menu. Prices decent. A little loud. Good for a date (or at least used to be- havenít been here early in over a year), bar. Edited to include: They closed a while back and now it is Social 52 (which says it is a craft beer place, but I donít see it on here). Actually went to one of my prom dinners here waaay back in the day.

Best chicken fingers EVER. for real. Avalon has really stepped up in terms of selection. You can find things such as Hop Devil, Dogfish Head 60 and Brooklyn Black Chocolate. Most of the time the music is way too loud though.

Right on main street between the Fan bars and Carytown. A small but decent bottle selection. Somewhat dimly lit and a bit too much smoke for my liking, but that may be due to the time of the visit. The staff seemed friendly and the beer prices were fairly decent.
