I visited Avery’s tasting room during a buisiness trip to Colorado. As luck would have it, they were having their monthly Insider’s Tasting event. For $20, two of Avery’s brewers and their Marketing Director conduct a theme-based tasting event with a small group of hard-core beer fans. The staff was awesome, answering questions and providing a fun experience. The taps flowed with a dry-hopped version of Avery’s IPA, and other unique offerings. This was a terrific place, with great people and phenomenal beer. What more could one ask for?

Nice, expanded tap room with close to 20 beers or more on tap. This place gets quite busy but is definitely worth the visit. You are likely to find a one-off or rare tap too.

The guys working the tasting room at Avery were incredibly friendly, and they encouraged us to try as many of their beers as possible. The samples were all free. Our group ended up buying several bombers of Fourteen and a couple kegs. Although the room is small, everyone there was genuinely fun to be around.

Good tour, they have a fairly nice new tastying room here. I was able to have one of the best Salvations on tap I ever had. The guide for our tour was very open to answering questions and allowed us to sample several of the beers they had on tap. You have the option of purchasing bottles of beer there, but there was not much selection at the time, so I did not buy anything.

very small tasting room. During GABF there were many big beers on tap. Brewer poured. Very crowded at the time. Wish we would have done a tour. They were very open to questions and were passionate about their beers.

Amazing that all the beers brewed can come from here. If you’ve been you’ve seen and may agree. Just cutting through visiting crowd at GABF time is work. Been twice and greeted very nicely each time and had some interesting variations on beers. Adam Avery and/or his father always seem to be engaged in conversation with their fans.

While this is a microbrewery it has a lot of character {not mention characters}. The service is great wether I’m buying a keg or just stopping by to visit and sample. The selection of kegs available varies but there is always a good selection to sample. Overall a good place to visit especially since they addedv a tasting room.

Visited 4/13/06. Our first host was Peter, an enthusiastic Aussie. He handed us off to none other than Larry Avery himself. We loved the visit, but don’t expect more than a tiny little tasting room ... no, nook. We didn’t need a tour, so we were fine as long as they kept giving us tastes, which they were happy to do. They also had some really cool powerhouse beers on tap that aren’t available anywhere, so this was a very cool stop. Thanks, guys!

Whatever your image of Avery Brewing’s facility - it probably isn’t even close. I drove by it twice because there is no sign by the road. At least I didn’t see one. It’s actually in a warehouse complex like the kind that would house small lawn service companies or maybe a small plumbing contractor. It is quite small and unasssuming compared to their beers. The only other brewery that I’ve been to that is smaller in size is the Solana Pizza Port. John, my tour guide, said that they refer to it as "outdoor brewing", and it pretty much is because all you have to do is step through the roll-up door and you just about walk into the mash tun! The tasting room is small but efficient. They had some goodies like ’03 Czar and The Beast on tap. I got there about 5:45 pm (they close at 6:00) and had missed the last tour but John graciously invited me in for some beer and then after the other 3 guests left at 6:00 he offered to take me on my own private tour! This is definitely a MUST SEE when in the Denver / Boulder area. I’ll be back!
