Large bar within the brewery, nice outdoor patio which seems cool. I went during happy hour mid week and no problems aitting where you would like. 12 beers on tap including 6 small batch and 6 seasonal a. I had two beers which where ok I suppose. Enough to knock den Alabama Shakes down.

There is a large parking lot sort of around the corner from this place that seems to be shared with nearby restaurants, although street parking is possible too. They all share a large outdoor space as well, with a large performance stage, scattered picnic tables, cornhole, etc. Very dog friendly. In a very industrial looking brewery is a nice long tasting bar. Flights of six 5 ounce beers are possible from their flagship menu, but not from their seasonals, they’re full pour only. So a flight is a lot of beer. I chose to cherry pick among the seasonals, which were all interesting. No food here, so I’m not how the food rating appeared, but there are some good restaurants nearby - pizza, sushi tacos (yes, that’s a thing) and BBQ. Service is friendly.

Situated in a former industrial area of Birmingham, this brewery and taproom is a must visit. They have a large indoor bar and an even larger outdoor area that’s dog-friendly.
The brewery has at least 15 beers on tap, ranging in style from saisons to dark porters. The beers are delicious and the staff is very friendly. They have multiple TVs to watch sports and they have to host bands and other events. If you ever find yourself in downtown Birmingham, give this place a try. You’ll have fun.

A really nice functional, working brewery with a proper bar. I liked the Avondale Brewing Co. a lot. It had a homely feel and was very friendly; oh, and the beers were quite good too, covering a wide range of styles. They do two flights - the "flagships" and the seasonals. The brewery is in a largish double fronted building in a becoming-trendy neighbourhood - one of those once derelict and bleak old industrial areas in the process of being transformed by a thriving craft brewery and various other small establishments such as a local food shop called "Fruitfully", an artist’s studio and a café / bar. There’s a huge patio area at the back with an outdoor bar (two ranks of 15 taps) and a stage. They don’t sell bottles here but you can buy them in Hop City, not too far away. Trunks Up! (This is a reference to their logo based on Miss Fanny the elephant who was a local celebrity in the days of prohibition).

Avondale features a rustic taproom containing a long bar inside. Out the back door there is another large bar and huge stage for music. They always have great events happening and have a massive selection of beer. 15 taps is ridiculous.

Great taproom is the heart of Avondale. A selection of indoor or outdoor seating with bars at both. A nice open patio area with tables. Has a large selection of 14 beers with usually a few seasonal choices. One of my favorite places to drink in town.

Avondale is situated a little farther from downtown than the other Birmingham brewers, but still very close and easy to access. The building is large and open though dark inside. There were about 16 house beers on, more than I could try in a single visit.

This is an excellent brewery in Birmingham. It was quite packed on a Sunday afternoon. Very relaxed ambiance. There is a small indoor area with a bar and a few tables and there is also an outdoor bar and patio (which started to fill up quickly). There were quite a few taps on, and some interesting beers. I tried the peach saison, tripel, saison, IPA, and porter (and enjoyed all!). They also have a sampler. There is no food served, but you can order food from a truck right outside (which was very good!) and Saw’s BBQ is right next door. I quite enjoyed this place and would love to return if I come back to Birmingham.

Good place to hang out on a slow night in Birmingham. As one of the few breweries in Birmingham, it is good to see it doing well and making quality beer. There is a bright future here.

All of their brews are good. I live near Birmingham and really enjoy going to the taproom for a Tripel. Wish they still made Mr. Todd’s Brown.
