Visited in 2009. Like the place, typical small US microbrewery. Beers are very good. The guy running the tasting room gave me a very good brewery tour. Was here in 2006 the last time, have to come back soon.

Stopped here after Alesmith. This is a bigger operation, with patio seating and everything. Still no real food though. Great taplist, including stuff that is not otherwise available, and the staff know what they are doing. Four oz tasters are around $2, which is still a pretty good deal to me.

This was our second stop tasting beers in San Diego. Ballast Point is located a beautiful industrial park. There is no food served and there is an outside terrace. . I have had some their beers that come East. I tasted The Sextant, Serrano Pepper Pale Ale and Even Keel. This is a fast growing brewery and they talked of further expansion in California. great palce to spend the afternoon. They had college football games on a flat screen.

Tucked away in a nice business park area we were able to get a quick tour of the place. Enjoyed many of there limited brews and enjoyed most all of them. It was crowded but the staff was doing there best to accomadate everybody.

Much like lost abbey and Alesmith, ballast point is tucked away unassumingly in a business campus park. The tasting room has a small to medium size standing room with several taps of both year round selections and seasonal / barrel- treated / one-offs. Extremely friendly staff and all the drafts are cheap as hell. Def go if youíre in the San Diego area.

very convenient location off the 15 and a nice new bar top and now has doubled their taps to 20. very nice place to stop by at try pretty much any beer Ballast Point is currently brewing. Wish they would do growler fills of their specialties but overall, its still a excellent place to stop by and try 20 different excellent BP beers.

Brewery and tasting room in an industrial park. They have all their standard stuff plus some specials on tap. Additionally, the brewery is right behind and you can get a tour of the operation (one of the better microbrew tours Iíve had). My one wish is that their "specials" are not available on site for growler fills or bottles.

kind of minimalist/modern. bare room with some tables to stand next to. crowd was all kind of beer geeks in brewery apparel. it was very busy but staff seemed to cope well. tours are only at specific times so didnít get to see the brewery or distillery.

Nice little brewery located in an industrial park just East of the 15 freeway. Service is quick, polite, and efficient. Patrons are cool and laid back. Place is a little small, but so are most bars. Outside the brewery is a large lawn you can relax on after you drink. On the day I visited they had Victory at Sea and Sculpin along with I guess 8 other beers on tap. Glad I went. Brewery is in close proximity to AleSmith and Green Flash.
