Historic pub with a rotund side, it certainly stands out on the main road just south of the Albert Dock, especially as modern flats are popping up all around it. Itís certainly worth the trip here though, first of all of the old building thatís quite light and airy given the amount of windows in this long, but not too wide pub. Tables and furniture is kept small to maximise the space. Thereís two sides to the ground floor, with a wall separating these, and the bar backing up against this wall on the main road side. Here youíll find a long row of cask ale pumps that carry both the house brews made in the cellar, and a number of guests. Thereís keg options in this respect too. A patio area springs up behind the pub in good weather.

Visited a while ago. A little bit of a trek from Lime St but worth it.
Odd shaped pub, popular with students and locals. I visited during Quiz night. Had a couple of Wapping beers on tap which were decent and brewed in the cellar.
Couple of guests on too. Nice place and worth a visit.

Slightly off the beaten track but worth the walk! Their own Wapping ales are on plus guests from the local area. I was glad to eventually find a pub actually doing scouse, which was very nice. A nice old building.

Scruffy and rundown sure do describe the Baltic Fleet well. Although, the worse for wear look retains character to this historic pub. The house beers are alright, and it was a relaxing visit mid afternoon. Itís worth walking over to the dock area and sticking your head in.

An airy, well-lit, somewhat hardscrabble boozer near the water in Liverpool. They boast a decent range of Wapping beers. Friendly staff, reasonable value. During my Sunday afternoon visit there was a musician performing live. This place is a little out of the way but itís definitely worth the moderate trek.

Just a few minute walk from the Albert Docks. The interior is a little shabby and unpretentious, but this is part of the character of the place. Four of their own beers were on cask along with one guest, which was from Towngate on my visit. Two cask ciders, a couple of German lager kegs and trimmermans strawberry lambic keg made up the rest. A place I will be visiting again when visiting friends in the area.

Visited for the first time on 7th Feb 2014. A proper old style brewpub: a no nonsense place with a good selection of cask beers, friendly bar staff and lively customers.
There was leaving party going on in the back room but we found some space at íthe sharp endí of the place which is found by walking passed the bar and through a little corridor and doorway, itís like an old snug.
Iíve been wanting to go here for years, but we never seemed to be in this part of Liverpool when it was open: glad we made the effort to hit it on this last trip to Liverpool.

historic oasis of calm in the center of a a busy traffic area and handy for the dockside museums/ restaurants. brew their own beer in the basement but only 2 of their own availabl;e alongside 4 guests. some non-standard kegs instead of the usual macro lagers and a small but interesting bottle menu. multi-room affair with plenty of shipping references. overcharged by £1 for two halves but refunded when error realised (prices displayed at serving hatch).
