So, this is one of the few places I feel I can watch a soccer match w/ good atmosphere (not heavily favored by any one club, so tiís fairly neutral), enjoy a good variety of craft beers and get some food. Good variety of local NYC breweries (Singelcut, Grimm, Other Half, etc.). The food is good: the curry savory pie is pretty awesome, plus they have warm pretzels which are perfect when youíre drinking. I watched the Champions League final there and despite the crowd, the staff were awesome, super friendly, and very fast. Itís great for sporting events, but itís also great to just go in and grab a pint.

Sister bar to Iona, with more emphasis on beer and wine selection. Banter is a newer place and is correspondingly bigger and nicer inside. The copper bar top is a lovely touch, as is the salvaged wood used in the floor. Full bar selection, panini and crisps for food and the major sports are on discreetly, If itís a big match and the crowd warrants, the big screen will be on. Selection and beer knowledge is very good to excellent: DFH, Founders, Sixpoints, Captain Lawrence, etc. A very nice beer stop in a very cool neighborhood. Highly recommended.
