Our final stop on our spontaneous pub crawl. Waited a while to find seats at the bar, very chaotic and packed. Fantastic tap line and bottle list, knowledgable bar staff but man were they pulled thin-- my impression here is that this place is either understaffed or undermanaged. Once we were settled in it was all good, so Iíd come back.

Iím strangely conflicted about this place on the whole. The list was very good, and they updated their website which I love (I really went just to get one of my favorites, Peche Mortel, on nitro), but it just seemed to be a bit bush league. The bartender seemed friendly and reasonably efficient, but I watched her struggle with a draft line that was pouring a bit foamy; she didnít know the tricks and wasted a lot of beer. Food looked greasy and uninspiring, though the tables were packed and I didnít eat so I guess thatís not fair. 750 mL of Cantillon Saint Lamvinus was staring the bar in the face and I asked the price on it. Bartender had no idea, couldnít find a button in the computer, and finally came up with an estimate but not a hard price. I had told her I likely wouldnít buy it, but to not really know what the beer that is probably most desirable for a beer geek nor know its price seemed unprofessional for a place professing to be a beer bar. Overall Iím being harsh and the numbers are more reflective, but itís an anecdote I felt worth sharing. Still, the list alone is worth visiting, and it may have just been a strange occurrence.

Have visited on numerous occasions now, also for several fun events. Itís a wee bar but they have an enormous number of taps and bottles for the space, and well-chosen selections of local and imported brews at that. Staff is knowledgeable and very friendly, they tend to know their beer (and food). Food is typically delicious, I quite like the club sandwich but there are other tasty items on the menu. Events are well-organized and usually you can try dozens of new local brews and one-offs if the timing is right. For value, you canít beat their 5oz pours of any tap for a sampler, especially considering the location and availability. Iíd wager this bar is a contender for the top 3 bars in Toronto these days, and itís starting to pull ahead of the others. Absolutely worth visiting if youíre in the city -- and youíll want to come back again. Love it.

Visited on the evening of October 8, 2014. It was on a Wednesday night, but alot of people at this pub, well being in the Entertainment District, plus itís the opening season of the NHL, not a surprise. But Iíve managed to find a spot at the bar. The place itself is very small, about Volo size small. Typical pub look, dark wood and everything. Very good beer list, both bottle and tap, the prices are ok. The service was equally good, to the point that they prove Flying Monkeys wrong about one of their beers. Food menu is limited pub fair, but my burger was big and yummy! A must do again!

First things first: this place is over rated. Yes, the beer list is deep & wide & interesting. But the service was weak ... Our server was unfamiliar with many of the beers on their list & was unable to help or inspire. Also, a few beers were ordered but never arrived. The ambiance is typical theatre district The crowd is also a tad on the lame side: lots of 905íers & Bay Street dullards & musical tourists. Iíd take the victory cafe or the only cafe over this place any day. Disappointing. I hear they are about to get replaced by a condo tower -- maybe thatís why the servers arenít as on the ball as they should be? Will try again before the are demoed & just see if they had their b list team on the floor tonight.

A narrow, hallway of a place, it was very cramped and loud feeling when we arrived shortly after 5pm on a Wednesday night. Once the baseball crowd headed out to the game, we were able to relocate to a comfy couch in the front near an open window, which was a huge improvement over the stools we were sitting on in the "hallway" area near the bar.
Service was very good, even when it was super crowded.
Selection was way above average, with a number of beers I hadnít tried before, like No Chance With Miranda on tap, and Evil Twin Hop Flood in a bottle, and many many others.
Food was pretty tasty. The homemade pot pie was a slight letdown, but my wifeís pork dish was great.
The bill was a pleasant surprise when it came for what we ate and drank. Expected higher in Toronto.
Overall, this is a hidden gem in the city, but apparently not so hidden any more. Worth cramming your way into, if you find yourself in itís neighbourhood.

Dark and long bar downtown, not unappealing but not as nice as most places in the area. Beer list was large and very local. Prices were decent, good if you catch a day with deals. Service was good and food was decent. A good bar.

Stopped in here during a layover BRU to DCA. Long and narrow place with a long bar and tables in the back, a bit dark. Helped a lot by an open front with a small patio. The draft list runs two pages, every entry was interesting, almost all local. Nice bottle lost as well, and the food was tasty. The highlight was the friendly and helpful staff and clientele. Danielle and her two accomplices took good care of us, and I met Kyle who accompanied me in barhopping for the rest of the day. And wifi is a nice touch. Well worth a visit.

Great addition to the Toronto beer scene on King West. Invariably impressive selection of local draft and a bunch of interesting imports in the bottles. Menu isnít huge but food is good. On the small side, but cozy feeling. Service is fairly knowledgable. Canít say anything bad about this place. May not be the best spot in town in my estimation, but itís up there.

Nice spot - great if youíre heading to a Blue Jays game. Not big - the bar and patio are nice, but if youíre at a table inside youíre pretty close to your neighbours. A couple of hand pumps, thirty or so taps, and a bunch of bottles. The casks and kegs are mostly local, the bottles are out-of-province and foreign. The food is mostly pub grub with quality ingredients. Tasty, but not particularly healthy. The service is friendly and attentive. Nice spot.
