This location has been closed for awhile but it was a great little place while it lasted. I used to stop in on my way by on trips up to the Whites. Sad to see it go.

Stopped in today for the first time to check the place out. Kind of a small convenience store, but the selection of beers is great for NH. They have lots of bombers, probably more loose bottles than anyone in NH, except maybe Jaspers. They will let you split six packs, buy singles, they have kegs. Definitely worth a visit if you are forced into the limited selection available in NH. One negative was that nothing in the store seemed to be priced. Brands I saw included Pennichuck, Allagash, Chimay, Brooklyn, Magic Hat, DFH, Rogue, Grittys, Unibroue, Samuel Smith, Ommegang, Ipswich, Smuttynose, Harpoon, Stone, Chamberlain, Lindemans, Red Hook, Tuckerman, Woodstock Inn, and probably a few more that escape me now.

This is the best place to get beer in the Capitol region. Operating under a new name, Barb’s Beer Emporium, this quaint little convenience style store actually has quite a high concentration of delicious brews. Excellent selection of Unibroue, Manchester brewing, Smuttynose, Sierra, and Stone. Stop by, you wont be disappointed.

I reviewed this one when it was still Capitol Convenience. When Barb Lambert took it over she took the best features of Capitol Convenience and built upon that. Most definitely Concord’s best selection. Refrigerated and shelved choices. Lots of crafts and independents and very few macros. There is a "What’s New" shelf for the latest arrivals. Plenty of singles to mix and match. No growlers sold. Convenience store style food/snacks. The staff are knowlegable. Tastings every Thursday evening from 5-7 pm and Barb uses her capable cooking skills to whip up an accompanying snack which uses the beer of the night as one of its ingredients. They are also starting to stock home brewing supplies. Easy to find. Off I-93, Exit 14 up to the intersection, turn left, and go about a quarter mile. It is on your right next to Domino’s Pizza.

This place is in the site of the former Capital Convienence, which I was told went out of business over a year ago. Decent little beer store with all the usual stuff you will find in NH. I won’t try and list it. Prices were in line with most anywhere else I’ve gone in NH. There was only one person working and she was very personable and helpful, Barb herself perhaps, I didn’t ask. They also have some pint glasses and t shirts with their name and logo. Nothing wrong with a little self promotion. I wouldn’t say this would be worth a special trip to Concord, but if I lived there, it’s were I would go.
