Definitely a nice concept and a fun place. It’s a little unusual for some...especially if you are not into the games...but the staff is great and the beer selection very strong. I’m not going to say this is a "go out of your way place"...but definitely check it out if in the area.

small crowd at about 5pm on a gloomy friday. laid back vibe while playing old arcade games. dollar off drafts during happy hour provided for a lot of $5 pints, not bad for NYC. big high ceiling. nice lookin place. some kind of peculiar torture chamber in the ceiling. would happily return. tight place.

Awesome concept, awesome execution,...crazy crowded. Its a good time though and they have some great beers. Just so many people.

Kind of dive bar meets arcade in a good way. Nice and relaxed vide. No food except for a couple of snacks. Solid tap selection. Bartender was nice but a bid of douche.

Kind of dive-y looking at first, arcade games all along the walls. This place is renowned for killer beer events. The night I went there for their anniversary didn’t disappoint. Decent, friendly service. Food is available at the bar. Fairly reasonably priced, especially for the part of Brooklyn they’re in. Very good overall.

Cool in concept...frustrating in practice if you live here. It gets rammed with people and the music can be way too loud. Yeah it’s cool and has Donkey Kong among others but unless it is a special event I don’t go. In the case it is a special event, the staff is pro, not sure about beer geeks though. Go at an early hour because the kegs won’t last. They will have a crazy selection or aged or rare stuff so it’s well worth it.

Have hit on Barcade 3 or 4 times, most recently on 02/03/12. Single roomed warehouse in effect with 30 or 40 old games machines still using the old quarter dollar slots, surrounding most of the walls. 25 beers on draft, $6 pours and $5 at happy hour (5pm - 7pm - from a hazy memory!). No food but you can bring your own or have it delivered. They do have some snacks such as jerky - check the hot as f**k one out :P. Solid tap list, nothing rare tbh, but good east coast fayre. Love this place, great vibes and idea.

Barcade’s located in a massive, open space in a very hipster part of Brooklyn. The ambiance is nice, though a bit crowded. The service was fine. The selection was strong, there’s probably 20 taps filled with mostly-interesting stuff. They let you order food to the bar, a massive plus. The games are gimmicky, but fun. Overall, this place would do well in London. Nice.

Big, open, and dumpy, which I mean as a compliment. Great selection of beers. I can take or leave the arcade games, I play them when I am drunk but I wouldn’t miss them. As a beer bar, this place could stand on it’s own without the games and still be awesome.
