this place is cavernous and dark, which isnít too common for fancy beer bars. I loved the old school video games b/c they are the only ones Iím good at/remember. the music selection is good "neuvo wave" (that new style that is repackaged 80s music), but it bounces off the walls too much. the beer selection is very good, but they served me a SH imperial stout ice cold. lots of cute Williamsburg indie nerd chickies, so if youíre single, help one pick a brew!

Visited by accident ( lost my way . thought it was closed but it was actually open on sundays ) Selection is pretty good , not shocking but just nice . service was OK . Atmosphere was very spacious , with much old videogames . Looks like some kind of warehouse . Very specific bar , with a unique concept . I liked it , but not per se for a beer-experience

Love it Love Love it! Big open warehouse lined with old skool video games (late 80ís latest?). Iím very excited.....I just spotted Ghost & Goblins. 28 taps, all US and good variety. Lower abv stuff about $7 a pint. Would love to bring my 6yr and 5yr here...just to show them what real video games are like. Glad I made the effort to come.

Big room with tons of vintage arcade games. Service was a touch slow at the bar but friendly enough. Selection was excellent although they had just had their 10th Anniversary a few days before so not sure of what was on tap during my visit was better than usual. Prices were good for the neighborhood. Will absolutely go back.

Cool place. Friendly bartenders and customers. Went in alone but had a nice chat with some folks. Very good selection of draught beers. Served in good condition. Did not play any games, but would like to do so someday. I liked this place.

Dickinsonbeer tipped us off about the Sunac grocery store around the corner where we grabbed sandwiches to bring with us since Barcade doesnít have food per se. Quite tasty! We sat at one of the few benches/booths just inside the door which worked well for eating. The atmosphere is pretty warehousey, with minimal decoration but it doesnít really need it either. Bathrooms are stickers and graffiti for the most part (though decently clean which was nice). They have a pretty solid tap list, with lots of local representation. Not many rarities during our visit, I had hoped for some leftovers from a special Mid West tap takeover earlier in the week but that was not to be. The games are the real stars of the show though, and they have a TON. It was quite busy on a Saturday night with short lineups for the more popular games. They still run at 25 cents a play which is cool. I played a few games of Double Dragon and some old school shooting game, but wasnít really in the mood for more. I liked the place but I think it would have been better suited to not being at the end of a fairly long drinking day. Will come back for more gaming!

Cool place worth it for the video games alone but always a great selection of crafts here.

Just donít ask for change of a 20 to get quarters....almost lost my head....Love the atmosphere...all games and very urban/graffiti. Selection is great, and constantly changing, almost always has one cask offering. They should throw a barmaid in to walk around an offer to get you more drinks so you donít have to ask a friend while you are hammering away on Rampage!!!!!

This place is genius. It gives women a justification to drink great beer and hang around without being picked up. The industrial look is excellent, the vibe great. Music not too loud. The bar staff helpful and deserving of a good tip. I really enjoyed drinking here and will be back. As a 40 something female. Good stuff.

When I visited: Late September 2013. What I had: Carton Something Like Sandy and Sixpoint Mad Scientist Series Graetzer on tap, Cape Ann Fishermanís Pick Ale on cask, sample of Port Jeff Fresh Hop Ale, a few white wines for my girl, beer nuts to snack on. What I liked: Dark and dingy vibe works well with the arcade theme, lots of schwag available, very good style variation on the draught list, friendly bartender made great recos and was happy to provide samples, had a fun time blasting away outlaws while quaffing our drinks, prices are reasonable for the area. What I disliked: Like many NYC bars they donít serve food, but we snagged some pizza slices nearby so it wasnít that big of a deal. Would I go back? Yes. This was the best bar that we visited in Brooklyn. Worth a crawl whether youíre a beer geek, gamer, or both. Overall Rating: 84

Visited May 2012 on a mini tour of Brooklyn.

I wish I had known about this place the last time I was in Brooklyn, though I have no idea if it was even around in 2009. I donít remember how much the games cost, if they were free or cost money. I only played a couple while drinking a barrel aged strong ale from Chelsea and then ironically probably the best Firestone Walker Double Jack I can remember having. The beer selection was all American which is a neat concept and was very hop heavy. Iím certainly not complaining. Prices were good and itís walkable from the train. I would stop in again.
