Been here twice and twice Iíve been disappointed. The first time it was a Saturday night and it was way crowded. The selection was okay but Iíd just been to Spuyten Duyvil so it paled in comparison. The bar seemed dingy and sticky. The second time I went was a Sunday evening. It was practically empty which was good but the selection was blah. Didnít even get anything to drink- headed over to Rattle n Hum instead. I donít get this place. Maybe I just went on a bad day...twice. I would try it again though
A fun place to visit, not only for the beer. Beer selection is decent, but the games is what makes this place stand out. The cool vibes makes it a good place to visit (even) with friends that are not that interested in craft beer.
I went to this place while crashing in my wifeís hotel room while she was working in New York, NY. I live in Chicago and there are now about a dozen places that take on this concept, but I got the feeling that this was the original place that went with the beercade theme. I went here at 4 PM on a weekday in the winter, so it wasnít too crazy and I was able to hang out and play NBA Jam for a couple of games. Definitely a fun atmosphere with a good selection, would recommend this place.
I didnít order at the bar, so I gave them an neutral 8. Not being a gaming nerd myself, I really didnít fancy all the arcades that much. I like to have a quiet beer, donít need to get stressed over some game :p But the concept is nice, and I get why people enjoy it! Selection is very decent.
Combination between dive bar, arcade game bar and a beer place. Came in pretty late just for a couple of drinks. Wasnít too crowded. Good selection, about 25 taps, some very interesting brews. Good prices considering other places nearby. Worth visiting.
Visited on Friday afternoon. I found the selection to be standard, nothing more. The staff were friendly and poured small glasses for $2 each. Lots of classic video games but bit over-hyped for my taste.
