Great food. Outstanding selection of beers. On any given day the bar is a who’s who of brewers and beer industry folks.

The College Avenue location is just a great place to hang out. The food isn’t anything to write home about, but the beer selection is amazing. These guys go out of their way to get the best of the region. You’ll never be disapointed. The regulars at the bar are friendly and it’s easy to start a conversation, and they all know their beer. It’s comfortable without being kitschy.

This place is great. 30 beers on tap which are constantly changing. Great variety too with something for every palate. The interior has a cozy feel with a great bar area. As for the food, I have only tried the steak sandwich and the steak platter Both were great. This place does get crowded and tables can be hard to obtain around dinner time. I only wish Barclay’s was in my own neigborhood and I would find myself there more often.

My home pub, even though I live an hour away. It is a fantastic place, the food is better than it needs to be for having such a wide variety of beers. The beer club is great, always nice to get prizes for drinking.

A genuine friendly service. Very good selections of beers although geared up towards IPA’s and Ambers. Value is good, most pints were less than $6.

It was kind of packed since it was Younger day, but really cool bar. Nice outdoor patio, seating inside, and a decent sized bar. Very friendly service, solid beer selection, and fair prices. Pretty close by public transportation and in a fairly nice area in Oakland.

Sat out on the patio on Saturday afternoon. By the end, the place was swarming with Cal fans after the football game, but it was pleasant for a while. Lots of good beers on tap, and service, though not great, was adequate (though they did accidentally overcharge my credit card). As a rater, I’d prefer them to do a better job at identifying the brewers of the beers they have on tap.

This is a nice place, especially if the weather is nice and you can sit outside. There’s always a nice selection rolling through and, importantly, they keep the prices down. The fried pickles are the bawmb. If the wait at Zachery’s is an hour or so, I try to head down here to grab a beer during the wait.

I used to go here a lot and still like this place. More like a sports bar atmosphere, but very relaxed. people are typically very friendly, both the patrons and the staff. Beer selection is excellent, about 30 beers on tap with emphasis on Norcal craft beers. The letdown recently has been the food. Multiple times lately have I been really disappointed. They must have had some changeover in that department, bummer.

Nice spot, good food, good selection, good service. Proper glassware.
