A bit far off the 101, those on the coastal route will want to stop in the small hamlet of Occidental to enjoy this perfect setting for a pint and friendly conversation. The food menu is small but has all of elevated pub grub (handcut organic fries, burgers, fresh daily Lagunitas-battered fish) plus an array of finer California selections at very competitive prices. A mighty fine selection and will often get a keg of Pliny the Younger. A mighty fine line up and a very worthwhile stop if you’re passing through the area.

About 10 beers on tap and double that for bottles. Pretty good selections. The food wasn’t that great though.

Wonderful West County Funk. Selection is fair for the area. Food is above average. Definitely worth visiting. I understand they will be opening a brew pub in Sebastopol.

I’d swear the beer list had 50 on tap, but 10 were visible. Maybe I misread it. Nice place. Good selection. Not a place for the very rare beers. They had a Moonlight. Some other good local brews.

Definitely off the beaten path, but if you live in Sebastopol like I do, just a hop, skip and a jump over to Occidental. Beer selection is pretty good, tap and bottles. But the food alone is worth the trip out. Try anything with the Chimay Pretzel chicken, also excellent fish sandwich and the price is really reasonable for what you get.
