A pretty decent brewpub. The BBQ was mediocre at best, but there were quite a few solid beers available. Good place to watch a game (even if the game itself was terrible). Stopped in on my drive through Columbus in 2015.

Stopping in here now for my second time, 12pm on a Tuesday. Pretty quiet, as expected, but I like that. Nicely decorated brewpub interior, cool sheltered patio outside that looks like it’d be very enjoyable to sit at. The place overall is easy to find, with easy parking. I sat at the corner-shaped bar, a marble surface with a big wooden lip. The bartender was as friendly and as helpful as could be, running to ask the brewer about several of my questions when she wasn’t sure of the answer. I always enjoy the food here, I think it’s above average and worth the money. 8 house brews on tap, 2 casks, and 8 very-solid guest taps (a few local). A flight of four was $6, I believe, but they also do small tasters of any of the beers for like $1 or so. Overall, I am a fan of this place. If I’m trying to get some satisfying food while tasting a few new beers, this is so far my favorite place in Columbus to do so.

The Smokehouse was one of the first microbrew pubs in central Ohio. The ambiance is relaxed and the staff is friendly. Of course, the main attraction is the beer. They offer a half dozen or more beers that are brewed on premises and an extended number of guest drafts that are constantly changing. I have long been a fan of of their Ivan Russian Imperial Stout and annual Christmas ale. The barbecue is top notch. Their wings are--flat out--the best in Columbus. They smoke the wings over hardwood for hours and then grill them over charcoal before tossing them with the sauce of your choice. I’ve never had better. The ribs, brisket and burgers are all outstanding. The Smokehouse has been one of my favorite restaurants in Columbus for years.

A nice spot in Columbus worth checking out. The atmosphere, selection and service are good, and the food is too. Outdoor seating is available. Well. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in town, and bring your appetite.

A solid stop in Columbus. I stopped here on a Sunday afternoon and everyone was focused on the football games. They have a decent house beer selection - the IPA and Belgian IPA were good, the saison and Christmas ale were mediocre. They also have a few guest taps, including Columbus, Great Lakes, and others. I didn’t try any food. Overall the beer was ok, some styles better than others but also with tasty guest taps, a good place to watch the game. I’d go back for sure.

I’ve been here a couple of times, with this review based mainly on the most recent visit (July 2013). Good service. Large bar. Cool looking taps for in-house beers. A good selection of beers on tap including some very good in-house beers and several guest taps (I had a 3 Floyds Robert the Bruce). Sampler flights available. Food selections are above average for a brewpub in both quality and cost.

Stopped in on a Sunday for lunch. Plenty of parking, but I was one of the only people there. If you want to go, Sunday afternoon is pretty good time. I ordered a couple flights of the house beer, a couple cask pours and a nitro included. A 4 beer flight for less than $5 is pretty hard to beat. The beer was pretty good, too. I ordered the Reuben Burger and was pretty impressed. Creative, not mind blowing food, but good for pairing with beer. The service was very good. I don’t know if the bartender was the most knowledgeable about beer, but I didn’t really giver her much of a chance to prove anything to me. She was very attentive and kept my glasses full. I would definitely like to make it back here at some point.

Plenty of fine brews both on tap and by the bottle. Having lived in the south, I’m a harsh critic of Barbecue, so best not discuss that. :)

I do have to admit, the neighbor hood this is located is a bit rough looking. Made my self and my group a bit nervous. As soon as we opened the door, we smelled the BBQ and a few of us in unison said, "smells good." The smokehouse has a large bar as soon as you walk in to the left and a very large dinning area straight back. The walls have beer tins hanging on them.
Beer selection was ok. Mostly beer they brew themseleves. A few guest taps with good stuff GLBC, Bell’s, etc. I chose the centenial IPA, which was satisfactory.
The food was good. Not one person of the group had a complaint about the food. I had the pulled pork sandwich. Excellent.
Service was good, granted it was a Wendsday Night, but food was served promptly. The beers were in appropriate glasswear.
Value was ok, I though the food tended to be on the higher side of the scale, but beer was reasonable.

Stopped by around 3PM Tuesday and the place was deserted which is to be expected. I didn’t eat as I wasn’t hungry but the menu looked like it had some decent stuff and the prices weren’t bad. They allowed me to sample all the house beers, and they were overall of good quality. Lots of guest taps and bottles, and a couple of beer engines plus a firkin on Fridays. One thing I liked is I couldn’t find a hint of macro beer anywhere, though I didn’t have any reason to ask. The bartender was friendly and helpful. I stopped by here because it looked easy to get to off the interstate and I’m glad I did.
