Decor could use an update, kind of stuck in 10 years ago, but still nicely maintained. Bartender was very nice, up on the beer knowledge and definitely prompt. Selection was great, lots of locals on tap and obviously lots of stone stuff, had bottles I had never seen anywhere else. Food was alright, nothing to write home about but satisfies you when you’re a few beers deep. Solid visit when you’re in town.

This place is fun, has pool tables up stairs and has many beers on tap and quite a few bottles you can buy of older hard to find beers, but comes with a price.

Not a fan of this place at all. Big open room space, old not redone just doesn’t look great. Its so loud in here you can barely think, let alone talk to someone at your table. Despite a slow night our server was frenzied, mixing up tickets, and not even getting a beer order from us for 10 minutes. Draft selection is meh, a combination of locals which is great with easier to find widely distributed beers. They offer a sampler of 6 of anything which is a nice touch to sample locals. The problem was the locals on tap all sucked. They had an outdated vintage list with good stuff, but the best stuff was gone. Please update more often then every month, this was dated 3/15/2014. Got an app, and the food didn’t necessitate sticking for dinner. Might be the best pizza place in town, so if you want food head over, otherwise go elsewhere.

A 2-story venue with lots of taps upstairs and even more downstairs. Also carries a large selection of bottles. Rare beers routinely come thru here, as do various special events. I’ve enjoyed beers here with both Sam C. (Dogfish Head) and Greg Koch (Stone), not to mention a good variety of friends and strangers. Friendly atmosphere. Probably THE best craft beer bar in SC.

By far, this is the best beer bar in Upstate South Carolina if not the entire state itself. A wide selection coupled with cheap and delicious eats makes for a wonderful experience that doesn’t break the bank. The selection is wonderful, but also incorporates a reserve list in case you’re looking for something a bit more vintage. Example: ’09 KBS.
If you’re in Greenville, this is a must do whether you’re a craft beer fan or just someone looking for a cheap slice of pizza. Put Barley’s on your agenda.

This is for sure the best beer bar in town. A great selection of beer on tap and a massive selection of bottles. The often have some more rare choices on tap which is great. They recently redid the food menu so now the food is actually good (still no fries though!). The one thing I really liked there was the meatballs. Price for food is average and price for beer is pretty good.

Very good selection and great attention to having a good mix of local and regional brews. Price was on average and service quick.

Very nice bar right in the middle of beautiful downtown Greenville. Too bad its 30 min away from Clemson.
Incredible tap and bottle selection, way over 100.
What I had/saw: Founder’s Imperial Stout, Terrapin Depth Charge, Oaked Yeti/Espresso Oak Yeti, Rochefort 10, BORIS, Storm King, + much much more.
The waitstaff was friendly, pretty knowledgeable about their selections, and the prices were pretty good (most taps $4-6, BORIS/Storm King were very pricey) Rochefort 10 was $10
I will definitely be returning to this bar, and the good thing is that you can go in, buy a bottle, and take it home, so if your on the go, or you spot something rare, take it to go as well.

Roughly 70 taps, with half on one level, and the other half -featuring different beers - on another level.
I was quite pleased with the selection. None of the taps were wasted on various iterations of BudMillerCoors fizzy yellow stuff.
The food was good. The pizza didn’t wow me, but it wasn’t bad. The black bean hummus was great, and I enjoyed a jerk chicken wrap on a second visit.
I found the servers to be friendly and prompt, although not necessarily beer experts.
I certainly plan a return visit on my next visit to SC.
