Really not what I expected - several extremely rare beers availalbe but a much smaller selection than I was led to believe from other reviews. Maybe 30 different beers - had AleSmith Speedway Stout though. If youíre in the area already, itís worth stopping by but otherwise probably not worth the effort.

The guys that work here are really very nice. The selection is very good, and I usually have a hard time deciding what I want. Nick is awesome at helping me decide just what I want.

Bauer Wine and Spirits is accessible by the T Green Line - the Hynes/ICA T Stop. Good luck trying to find parking! Very nice, upscale ambience. The service is friendly and knowledgeable. The selection is pretty good - but overpriced. Worth stopping by if you are in the area and have the money. The bonus is the glassware they usually have in stock.

Nice, classy, pretty awesome place. Good standard selection of brews as well as some more obscure gems...Iíve also heard that there are "hidden" beers that arenít on display. Itís pretty expensive, but probably just because itís on Newbury Street. Definitely worth checking out.

A nice little upscale "boutique" bottle shop in what seems to be a well-to-do part of town. Nick the Beer manager wasnít there, but the two guys behind the cash were friendly and gave me some glassware to go with the boxload of goodies I bought. Plenty of one-offs and oddities, especially with US micros. A few 6-packs, but mostly singles and bombers. Not a huge selection of imports, but all interesting ones. I enjoyed my shopping experience there and will return whenever I get back to Beantown.

A nice small shop, with good prices and a very nice selection. I stopped by during a DFH tasting and talked shop with a few good beer nerds, including the resident beer-man íNickí. You can sign up for the storeís email list and heíll keep you updated on new arrivals (and some that didnít quite make it to the shelves). I usually hit this store up once a week.

The best beer manager that I have ever met resides here, Nick. Friendly and generous and willing to go out of his way to get you anything you could possibly want. Awesome setup and a lovely store on Newbury street. Prices were more than reasonable. A must stop if you can get there. My biggest problem (not Bauerís fault) is that it is so difficult to get there, as traffic and parking in the area are very very frustrating.

Located near the end of Newbury st near Massachusetts ave. In a basement location. This small store does a good job rotating things through. Stuff will disappear quickly as they donít have big storage space. Nick the beer guy will talk shop with you and help you if your not sure if what you want. Good prices compared to some of the areaís big stores. Worth a visit if your in the area. Very close to MBTAís Green line stop Hynes Convention Center/ICA Station Any "B" "C" "D" train will go there
