Great place. Nice patio, great food, very good selection of beers. Their house beers are solid, and they have good guests as well. Would love to go back and eat more, as well as try more of their own beers.

First visit was at there 1st Anniversary Bash. I’ve been to the Seal Beach location so I knew what to expect. This place is easily twice the size with the same good food. The Bash had 40 beers on tap with many hard-to-finds and one of a kinds. My buddy and I had a great time. One more beer and I probably wouldn’t have remembered it.

Weeknight dinner. Really nice bottle and tap selection here, and the food was very good. Overall, the service here is great. Definitely a great place to have dinner and some rounds of great beer. Bottles are pretty steep in price, but quite a choice of styles.

Visited during RBSG. They really rolled out the red carpet, and their tap set up is a sight to behold. Much more room than the original location. Love what they’ve done with the space. Yummy soul food and attentive service. A must visit.

Nice new brewery / beer bar on the Promenade. Well-lit and open and with TV’s in view from most seats.
Service is impeccable whether at the bar - expertly staffed to match the volume of customers or on the floor with young, pretty, but snappily professional waitresses. These folks are happy to serve.
Selection is awesome though there’s local competition. Lots of foreign and domestic taps and at least six house beers.
Food is heavy on pork and not for the diet-conscious but chosen and prepared excellently by a caring chef. I like that they are always experimenting and now offer a wild game menu. Of course it’s more expensive than grabbing a beer and a hot dog at the mom and pop shop.
This place is doing it right, establishing a world-class reputation, and they’re "good people".

Lots of things going for this place. It’s open later than the original. It’s closer to LA. You can TRAIN there from LA. The beer they brew is BOMB.COM thanks to Julian. Their guest taps are just as rad as the original. I have always liked their food. And if you care to get your ear talked off about beer, ask for Larry.

I have been here plenty of times. The taps are excellen and the house brews are awsome (the best in LA). This place gets busy, the only times I havent seen this place is early afternoons. The food is awsome with good portions. The only complaint I have, is that the service is slow. Even with the servers rushing it, it can take forever for a beer to come, not sure why that is. Either way the beer and food makes up for everything.

Very good food and beer selection. House brews were very palatable and the Smoked Hot Wings and Nut and Olive sampler were extraordinary (especially the nuts)! I liked it so much that I went to Seal Beach the next day just to compare.
