Wow. It’s been a while since I’ve been here, but it’s too good not to rate. Anyway, I stopped in here for a few beers while at a conference for work, and was really impressed with the quality of the house beers. Nice downtown location and a very friendly bartender made this a good experience. I would classify this as an upscale brewpub? I can’t remember if they served food, but I didn’t get any. The beers were very good. I’d go back next time I’m in the area.

Stopped in for a late lunch with the family. Typical brewpub atmosphere, but good service and an excellent taplist of both their own beers and an impressive list of "guest" beers as well. Flights of their beers were only $6 for four about 6 oz pours, which seemed like a pretty darn good deal. The bottle list is equally impressive, with things like SNR10 for $42. Unfortunately it is all consume on premises. A couple bottles to go of their own beer are typically available. Food was pretty good as well. All in all a place I wish I had a lot closer to home.

A very nice brewpub in downtown Long Beach. Great food and even better selection of beers both house and guests. Service was good when i was here in February 2013.

This place has the best food and beer selection I've ever come across. It's a "go to" place for my friends and family. Their passion comes through in their creative and delicious menu and beer selection for every taste profile. Now the bad news...the service is marginal at best...and this is staff that has worked there a year or more!!! So, if you want amazing food and beer with lackluster service, go to long beach. If you want the beer, food and service to all be amazing...seal beach might be your best bet. It's not like I will ever stop going...the food and beer far outweigh the poor service.

A nice pub and brewery with a diverse selection of house beers and guest taps. I ate before I arrived, but wish I had not as the food looked superb. The bartender was a nice conversationalist, and kept me full of beer, including sharing some rare The Bruery beers.

I’m writing this review for the service I received on 2/23/13. My buddy and I headed over to Beachwood Long Beach after The Bruery Initiation. I called when I left the event to see if they had any BA Full Malted Jacket left and there were 11 remaining. Being 35min away, I figured they would run out but I decided to try my luck anyways. Upon arriving, the bar was about 70% full so we sat near the left side of the bar. Beachwood seemed busy, but I have seen a lot worse. I asked if there were any remaining bottles and the bartender (didn’t catch his name) informed me, "Hey I know you guys just called but we just ran out." I told him that I understood but we intended to order food and beers anyways. He brought our menus... then we couldn’t get his attention for another 30min+. As more people came, he served them before us or he chatted it up with a couple at the other end. Once we finally got him to take our order, he had a bad attitude and didn’t seem thrilled to serve us. WTF? Food came out and he didn’t bring any napkins or silverware so we had to flag someone else over. To add insult, as we were getting ready to leace someone came in and a different bartender brought them out bottles of BA Full Malted Jacket. Hook your buddies up, but don’t hook them up in front of customers that didn’t get any and had been there for over an hour. Bad form. Overall: The Food and Beer were and always are great but Eff that guy. I hope someone knocks him off his high horse.

Went to an event, but had a couple of Beachwood’s brews on tap and just had an awesome time with some great peeps. I need to make sure I check out the BBQ next time, heard it is awesome.

Great BBQ, great service, great beer (both guest and house), awesome place. Lots of beers to choose from covering lots of styles. Will continue to come in when I can. My only complaint is that its so far from where I live.

A very clean well lit atmosphere. Everything is so shiny and new in this place. The details of the tap towers are fun to look at, as is the craft brewery in the background. The service is great whether you are at the bar or at a table. The selection is much larger than the Seal Beach location. A dozen house beers and a dozen or more guest taps, all well thought out, not any beer stepping on another. The food makes me very happy, and fairly priced.
