I absolutely love Beachwood BBQ. It’s my favorite beer spot hands down and the food is amazing. It recently doubled in size, and the taps went from 8 to 22 and also offers cask beer from time to time. you will find me there almost every nite.

Tiny little place right on Main Street. The street is littered with bars but all are pretty much the same other than Beachwood. This place is a standout anywhere but in Seal Beach it’s outrageous. Chef/owner Gabe is usually there. Great BBQ and a sick tap list that is always changing. Check out their hopcam, that shows what’s on tap in real time. The beer list is eclectic to say the least and always exciting. I consider this to be one of the top beer places in all of California.

what a find! a co-worker told be about the place and my wife and i were there last sunday. i had the smokehouse burger and she had the brisket sandwich. both...off the charts fantastic. the smoked asparagus was delicious. 20 great on tap offerings. started with a maharaja ipa from avery and finished with a stone russian imperial stout. both were fresh, served at correct temps and in appropriate glassware. wonderful. service was impeccable. the owner knows how to do the food/beer/service thing well. bravo!!! this will be a regular haunt for us.....

I always thought that Father’s Office was the Pantheon of Beer/Food in SoCal. The Office Burger is admittedly unparalleled. 35 interesting beers on tap is also hard to beat. But Beachwood Barbecue is in the hunt for best beer bar in Southern California. With 22 taps of beer that even a veteran beer lover will be surpised and delighted by this has become a destination spot. Add some of the best barbecue that you ever had and this becomes a must visit.

This place quickly jumped into my Top 10 favorite restaurants all time. I love the menus. The food menu is concise and focuses on excellent examples of barbeque-style foods and other similar fare. I had a really, really hard time choosing from the menu, because everything looked incredible. All the food was outstanding! I’m still buzzing off of it. The country pate and fried pickles were fantastic appetiziers. The salmon and chicken paired beautifully with the grits and the coleslaw. Just incredible. I loved the sauces too. Everything had a wonderful unique touch and was obviously well thought out. The items and menu just seem specially crafted, which all had a great from-scratch sense. The tap menu and bottle menus were fantastic and I wanted to ordered everything. Even better, the prices were incredibly fair. The decor and atmosphere were warm and homey and I wanted to settle in for a fortnight. This place is a MUST visit. I love it.

I am basing the 12/15 for selection based on what might well be an off night for Gabe, but regardless of that this place is near perfect. If I could change anything about this place I would make it closer to my apartment. Other than that no complaints.

I guess it’s high time to update my review of this place. First went in 2008 after having walked by a few times without realizing it. The food is amazing and the service is always good. The first time I went in I was very surprised at how they "only" had 15-20 taps but they were all interesting and in most cases good. Had some obscure Speakeasy beer and something called Cuvee de Raisin (I eventually figured out who made that one). Sadly I dont get back enough but will try to periodically.

Complaints include that its small so seating is an issue, parking sucks, and the prices are high (but the food and beer are worth it).

Also, I hear they have a good bottle list but in my dozen or so trips I’ve never looked, I just drink the draft beer.
