84 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 raphael (33) Portland, Oregon | May 19, 2013 Hard place to find because some of the addresses are on interior courtyards. Once i found the door & chose between the cavernous inside and a long outside eating porch. Broad selection of their beers, roughly split between what they bottle and what they don’t. My burger was great but the fires a little dry. An extensive menu, featuring local cheeses & meats.Great service. | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 19/20 Schlenkerla (203) , Austria | March 8, 2013 We were here 2007. Racer 5 is one of my favorite beers and fresh in the brewery it does taste even better. At this time it was a small brew pub with a nice bar. Have been informed they have opened a bigger brewery now. Definitely will come back one day. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 DavidWoodruff (22) Windsor, California | March 3, 2013 A well done brew pub. Great beer, good selection and above average food. A must stop on a West Coast beer tour. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 bvc (61) Kenmore, Washington | February 16, 2013 Made the short drive north from Santa Rosa before heading back down to the bay area. Not visible from the main downtown strip as it is located just behind some shops. We parked on the main street out front and walked in the cupcake/coffee shop to grab a coffee and then find the place and the barista was super friendly and told us that it was just behind the shop through the courtyard. We then found that there was a larger parking lot behind the main strip as well. Nice larger outdoor patio, but we decided to sit down at the bar inside. Draft selection was heavy with regular offerings, but they also had a couple of BA beers, couple vintage things as well as two single hop offerings. Bartender was friendly and pour small sample without even having to ask. Behind the bar is the still working original brewhouse that they serve a couple of 3 drafts right off the tanks. Standard pub food that was alright, prices where good and staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Patio would be a nice place to enjoy a few pints in the afternoon sun as well. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 16/20 Kristophe (61) , Sweden | February 7, 2013 Had one of the nicest waitresses I’ve ever experienced, and a 15 beer flight. Great afternoon. | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 mike_77 (62) , Netherlands | November 29, 2012 Friendly bar staff and a wide selection of their own beers available on tap. The place feels a bit cold and there’s sometimes a background smell of cleaning fluids from the brewery part (nice to see the hygiene is good though!). I like the branding of this brewery and picked up some clothes and a cap at quite reasonable prices. Would definitely go back there. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 Sammy (464) Toronto, Ontario | November 10, 2012 Here I am at this must visit place. The bartender is John and we are talking beer. He is giving me style and another style. Is it the style? I had a great pale, and an unusual sour beer, among others. A large square bar, many tables, tempting merchandise. Great service, not to busy on a cold Monday night. Parking down the street. A beautiful and very safe town. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 3/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 savnac (226) Anchorage, Alaska | September 7, 2012 Decent sized place right off the main drag. Inside is a pretty typical brewpub style place. Service was horrible. We were waiting for a table outside so went to the bar for a drink, the bartender wouldn’t let us combine the beers on our lunch ticket. The hostess completely forgot about us even after another server reminder her. Once we were seated we saw food being brought to the wrong table at least 5 times, once the people had full plates in front of them and they tried to give them more food. Anyway, the selection of beers was great, lots of different styles to chose from. Value was decent. This place would rock if not for the horrible service, maybe we just hit them on a bad day but I’m not sure I’d go back. | 84 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 18/20 bnoel09 (25) Elk Grove, California | August 9, 2012 Went for beer and lunch. Had the full sampler (15 beers). Sampler was a little pricey, but I had to try all the varieties that don’t get bottled. Food was really good and service was friendly. Would definitely go back when I’m in the area. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 JoeMcPhee (465) Toronto, ON, Ontario | June 26, 2012 Big indoor space with a separate bar and dining area. A lovely shaded patio out back which is where I enjoyed a few with a nice burger and salad. Friendly and knowledgeable staff along with a great selection of their usual bottled selection and some newer stuff. A damn fine place to quaff a few brews. |
