Big place with lots of glass cabinets hocking their stuff. Lots of tap only beers available and a good priced sampler. Visited here the morning after my drunken San Francisco experience, hungover but the sampler helped me wake up. Nice folks and nice place. Smelled like brew day.

April 2008 - Early afternoon, mostly a bar crowd, enjoying the awesome BRBC beers, just as we did. It goes without saying, but the beers here are world class. They alone are worth the visit. Unfortunately, we didn’t try any of their food. We had a good time talking with Ryan the bartender, too. Cool guy, cool joint, amidst the wine-tourist-oriented Healdsburg. (Brewery #457, 4/10/2008)

A surprisingly not very pretty pub in the pretty town center of Healdsburg. Bear Republic is on an alley by Healdsburg avenue and has a weird terrace on the back where lighting remains subtle in the evening and huge metal fermentors force the waiters to dance around to reach their customers. Still, we had good service and were quite impressed by the beer selection. There were 16 of their beers on draught including a whole lot of stuff that does not go into the bottles. Since it’s a talented brewery, you may very easily fall onto interesting discoveries, but I would avoid Belgian styles which tend to be overly sweet. A satisfying experience for people who dig the brewery, but not quite essential in this area where so many breweries reside.

Average but lively pub environment. Didn’t eat here. Pretty long beer list has nothing too extraordinary but the standards (RacerX, etc) are solid and some of the specials are too. Like Tartare, the Berliner weiss. I’d go back for sure.

I was very excited to finally come to Healdsburg and try the great BRepublic creations straight from the source. The Racer 5 I started with was as good as the bottles I’ve been enjoying now and then over the last 5-6 years or so, but the house "specials" were another story altogether. A wet mop aroma seemed to mar all three, whatever style they were. Cleaning issues in the brewpub? Anyway, the location in pretty Healdsburg is nice and the terrace out back is friendly, so I would like to come back eventually. I admit I would stray from the "new" brewpub-only brews next time since I was burned this time around. Hop Rod Rye and Racer 5 (amongst others) still rule.

Big indoor space with a separate bar and dining area. A lovely shaded patio out back which is where I enjoyed a few with a nice burger and salad. Friendly and knowledgeable staff along with a great selection of their usual bottled selection and some newer stuff. A damn fine place to quaff a few brews.

Here I am at this must visit place. The bartender is John and we are talking beer. He is giving me style and another style. Is it the style? I had a great pale, and an unusual sour beer, among others. A large square bar, many tables, tempting merchandise. Great service, not to busy on a cold Monday night. Parking down the street. A beautiful and very safe town.

After a 4 year hiatus, this was my second visit. Situated in the pictoresque main square of Healdsburg, this brewpub is nice and homey, serving about10 of their beers, most of them not available in bottles. The beers are above average. The food is excellent pub fare....try the fish and chips, delicious. Very friendly service and good chatting with fellow clients.

Just excellent. Food was really good. Beer selection and flavors were outstanding. A bit crowded Saturday night on a holiday weekend. But the staff kept in touch, and all went well.

Great place. Great selection of fabulous beers, including many you can’t find elsewhere. Great food as well. Very enjoyable place to go.
