For some reason, this place just reminds me of a sports bar with a brewery attached. Food is good. I think they had 10 taps, but the cask was empty and had been for a while. Service was good and knowledgable.

I have to get to this place at least once every trip down to healdsburg. Great brews on tap, with some great stuff thats not available in bombers. The service is great and the food is excellent. The garlic fries are A+ and the jamaican jerk burger is out of this world.

Big place with lots of glass cabinets hocking their stuff. Lots of tap only beers available and a good priced sampler. Visited here the morning after my drunken San Francisco experience, hungover but the sampler helped me wake up. Nice folks and nice place. Smelled like brew day.

Crazy number of beers on tap, all sorts of different varieties. Decent venison sausage sandwich. Has a nice small town feel to it. The woman who poured samples at the Clos du Bois winery told me her brother goes fishing with the brewmaster. Small world in the Alexander Valley.

Inside atmosphere was somewhat lacking- I remember something like white painted brick or cinderblock walls. There was good service at the bar. Didn't have any food, but what was served to other patrons looked really good. Excellent beers, some available in large bottles to go. Hint: some of these can be bought at local supermarkets, cheaper (told to us by the bartender, and true). These brewers are NOT afraid of hops! I brought 'several back to TN, to the surprise of the X-ray lady at the Oakland airport. I'd go back, definitel.

An interesting upscale brewpub set in the small "wine" town of Healdsburg. I sat down at the bar an ordered what turned out to be the most amazing beer sampler of all time. It had at least 13 different beers including all their regulars plus 8 or so other brews. Let's put it this way...I definitely did not need to order a pint after this sampler. In addition, the bartender was quite a character. Beer wise, I find myself consistently enjoying Bear Republics beers. They have a certain quality that I love. The food was slightly above average and a little more expensive than you might expect for the fare but who is going to complain after that huge sampler. In conclusion, Bear Republic had one of the best house tap selections I've ever seen and will definetely be back when I'm in the area.
