76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 SpringsLicker (120) Tennessee | September 18, 2012 Great little place in Knoxville. As good as any that you’ll find with a knowledgeable staff. I’m sure they would be a total place if the laws were different. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 decaturstevo (102) decatur, Tennessee | February 24, 2013 Nice place to go in the spring or early summer nice selection of low gravity beers. Game area nice outside lounging area. Nice place. | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 16/20 DiarmaidBHK (523) Pennsylvania | July 16, 2012 Considering the limitations against selling anything over 6% and the fact that a lot of stuff you would expect to find, like Terrapin, isn’t available in the area this place is pretty cool. It’s all beer which is a statement in itself They have over 400 varieties in six pack and bomber plus much of its refridgertated. They also sell by case and keg. They have mostly regional and national craft with a few Germans thrown in. They also have 10 taps so you can drink while you browse or hang out in the courtyard area. The staff is really passionate about beer and Does a great job of educating about new sales and breweries without condescension. I wish I had a place this awesome in my neighborhood. | 84 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 15/20 tnkw01 (4) Knoxville, Tennessee | July 10, 2012 Great variety. Only complaint is one can’t break 6 packs. Other than that great place. | 52 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 10/20 TN_Gabe (14) Tennessee | June 8, 2012| Updated July 29, 2012 They try, but hey it’s TN. Ok selection for Knoxville I guess (not very good compared to anywhere outside TN), but prices are on the high side. Friendly stafff and an ok place for a pint if you’re in the neighborhood. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 tzachary (6) Knoxville, | April 29, 2012| Updated July 29, 2012 Set in a building formerly occupied by a flower nursery, Chris has done a solid job bringing a laid back atmosphere beer-garden with a solid beer selection to Knoxville. The service is usually a function of when you go and ranges from over the top on a early afternoon weekday to mildly abrasive on a night with heavy greek folk traffic, but several of the staff members know their stuff which is always nice. The selection is hampered by Tennessee’s ridiculous beer laws, but the staff makes great effort in trying to stock what they can get their hands on. Overall, this is the best place in Knoxville to casually drink a variety of quality beers from across the globe. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 Rrauth (12) North Carolina | March 25, 2012| Updated July 29, 2012 Went here while driving through TN to get to St Louis. Wanted to find some local TN beers. They had very little because very few TN places bottle apparently. The lack of singles takes them down. I went on a good night. Yazoo was there with a Cask of Dry hopped IPA. It was good. The folks were very friendly. the whole place was more for beer drinkers, less for casual folks. I loved the open courtyard and enjoyed my brief visit. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 Lubiere (412) Ottawa, Ontario | October 25, 2011| Updated July 29, 2012 A cool little store in what I think used to be an old gas station (or was it a motel?). The nice thing is its possible to buy a pint while you peruse the beers selection or while sitting outside at the makeshift terrasse. Decent prices, knowledgeable staff, only thing, they dont sell singles. Selection is decent (given weird TN beer regs). | 88 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 bigrobman (7) Knox-Vegas, Tennessee | September 28, 2011| Updated July 29, 2012 Great place for a pint and perusing around selections. Beer store that has drafts you can indulge in on site. Beers that no one else in town has.
MONDAY 5K FUN RUN!!!! Big run beginning/ending @ BBM, with discounted drafts after! also does cool unveillings of beers- place to be- distributors know it, so you should too.
Also great folks- @ a wedding where distributor dropped off keg of Warstiener w/ wrong tap. Saturday night- who do I call?? BBM! Came through in a pinch. only place in knoxville w/ right tap. THanks again | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 adayale (12) Texas | August 11, 2011| Updated July 29, 2012 Really nice little place. It has a lot of local beers along with a lot of beers from breweries from surrounding states. I was on vacation with family traveling through Knoxville on the way home and stopped by this place. My only problem with it is the fact that they don’t have borers and high gravity beer because Tennessee law says they can’t. So based on the fact that they aren’t allowed to have high gravity beers their selection is still quite amazing. |
