Popular basement bar in central Akasaka, basically a taproom of Hokkaidoís Otaru beer. Local crowd, German folk music. 5 year round beers and a seasonal, all decent classic German-style brews, served in a fun but odd plastic horn, good prices. Pizzas, sausages and fried dishes available at good prices too. Great all-you-can-drink deal for parties. Smoker friendly.

Not sure why I didnít rate this last time. Can be crazy busy on beer launch nights, but nice and calm on the weekend. Very good prices and decent tasty beers.

Great place. Horns for beer (order a large!), good food and 2200 yen 2 hours all you can drink. Beer is well made. Usually 3 regulars and a seasonal. The honey mead seasonal was fantastic and you can enjoy non alcohol beer produced by Otaru as part of the deal if you wanna slow down a bit. Definitely doing it right.

I was there alone for a while, making small talk with the server who was nice enough but not really interested. A cozy place. The horn gimmick is wasted on me, but I suppose Iíll drink a liter or so from the real one some time. Great beers is where itís at. These Otaru beers were always unavailable in Tokyo, or anywhere outside of Hokkaido. Get the all you can drink. Their Pils is one of the best outside of Germany. Food was ok but small portions.

This is the taproom for Otaru beer from Hokkaido, in Tokyo. Dark wood everything inside, really feels like a drinking den (downstairs atmosphere adds to this). Quit big for a Japanese place, as it can hold 50+ people. Otaruís three standard on tap, plus they usually have a seasonal. Beer is served in these plastic horns, which is stupid for a geek, but this isnít a beer geekís place per se. This is more of a place to take your co-workers after work or get together with a bunch of friends, it is just really fun. Food is standard pub grub done very well and very reasonably priced. Otaru beer is decent. Right now they have an all-you-can drink deal, but doubt that will last forever. As a tourist, I donít see a big reason to come here, but if you live in Tokyo, this is a fun place to hang out with friends. Brian, the manager, is a great guy and fun to talk to.
