Awesome new place in Westport. Always go here when in town for work. Excellent, gourmet sandwiches. Very unique beer menu - constantly chaging with very good, US micros to very rare imports (some of which can be very pricy).

Very nice beer bar in Westport. Great food and beer selection. The one big negative aspect being the cost of the premium bottles. Many are unreasonay expensive with no pricing info on their big board.

Beer Kitchen is one of my favorite beer venues in Kansas City. The waiters are personally familiar with most of the brews on their menu and did a great job of recommending beers to people in my party who werenít that familiar with most styles of beer. The burgers and other menu items were very tasty and complemented the beers nicely. The selection is large and contains microbrews from throughout the US plus rarer beers from Europe and even several beer-based cocktails. Some items are a little on the expensive side, but itís definitely worth checking out if youíre in the area.

This is a trendy new place in a touristy area that is incredibly expensive. After looking at the prices, I had one beer and mentioned to the barkeep that the prices are keeping me to one and done. His response was that the prices are high because the rents in Westport are so high. Come on! This is KC, not NYC, SF, London or Paris. Someone unaccustomed to craft or imported beers would get the wrong impression. I recently returned to KC and gave the Beer Kitchen another try, and I came back two more times. The food was inventive and delicious if not on the expensive side. The draft prices are still on the high side, but within reason...the bottles are still outrageously expensive. Nonetheless, I upped my rating accordingly.

Went here and KBS was on draft. There are very few taps, but each tap has something special on it. There is also a pretty special bottle cooler. The decor is well thought out. The food here is insane. This should be your meal stop if you are doing any beer touring. The food isnít expensive, but the beer prices are a bit high. It was wonderful that they had KBS. It was $13 for a healthy 12 oz pour.

Stopped in here for lunch and the food was great. Sat at the bar and had the deviled eggs and the 8 hour corned beef hash. They were both excellent as was the service. The tap beer selection was limited, however what was there was well selected, interesting, and high quality. Was fortunate enough to walk in when they had KBS on (even though I was reluctant to start the day out that could I say no?) I will definitely be back here next time Iím in KC.

Came here two nights ago and was really impressed. Food was really, really good. Tap list was small, and a few things listed were out, but the quality was superb and the ones missing were replaced with equally good things. Bottle list is good and fairly extensive. A great place to visit both for the food and the beer.

Not an amazing place for beer except for their micro-brews (same as McCoyís and Foundry --- all under the same franchise). Great food though

Great place, great staff, and quite an amazing bottle selection but be prepared, this place is very expensive. great sliders, great atmosphere, clean bathrooms, and in a hip part of town, but i spent wayyyy to much money here- my bill was way over a buck fifty and only had 5 beers, 2 samples, 2 drinks, and 2 sliders- and beer samples are ripoff, one was 8 dollars for 4 ounces, fuck! ... money was burning but still, donít let that stop you- one of the nicest beer spots iíve ever visited...
