Run by a Belgian and a bit of an expat hangout, Beer Mania has a healthy range of Belgians both on tap and in the bottle, along with a tap dedicated to cheap Chinese swill for the budget-conscious. A bit off the main Sanlitun drag, but still easy to get to. There’s a small patio out front, and a mid-sized interior with a pool table and stage. I can see it getting a bit raucous.

Weekend crowds turn this place a bit pukey and load. Not exactly a place to appreciate good beer. On the positive side, the selection is quite good for China, and the beers are poured tableside in proper glassware. For ambiance, food, and service, I much prefer The Tree which is about 10-12 minute walk away.
