Really a fantastic place to pick-up some great beers, let alone have a few pints from a really nice tap list. Great atmosphere, really nice bartenders (Toronado could pick-up a few tips from them) and the selection of bottles/taps make it easy burn thru some money quickly. Not even going to bother with Tononado anymore. These guys have my business from now on.

Not sure what happened to my rating, adding it again...

Stopped in here yesterday on my way to another event in the area. Kind of has the dive bar feel but it is clearly all about the beer, reminds me of the old version of Shady McGradyís back home. Atmosphere was good. Lots of people sitting outside and a bit less inside. Service was great. Two guys behind the bar helping people choose their beers and explaining them well. Quality was pretty good. All of my beers were served in the correct glasses but the bar overall could use a bit of TLC to smooth out the rough edges. Selection was easily the best part. They had a ton of beer on-tap, even after finding out the entire middle board wasnít available for a few hours. They kept having to explain that to every person who came in, simple fix would be to put a sign on that board...whatever. Lots of bottles in the coolers on the opposite side of the bar, plenty of quality options in there. All of the drafts were $6 which was awesome because I have seen a few of them for much higher at other bars in the area. Overall a really cool spot.

Small, divey bar with excellent bartenders and a great selection. I went during SF beer week when David Firestone came to visit with some rare FW brews. Overall the tap selection was phenomal. I got half a beer just as one of the kegs blew and the bartender at the time gave it to me for free. Very cool.

Located about 10 minute walk away from the nearest BART station (and very close to The Trappist). A busy, loud and packed bar with a massive tap list of local beers. A few fridges full of bottled beers available to go as well. Large outside patio as well. Prices are okay, around $6-7 for a large glass. Visiting this place and The Trappist is a nice way to spend an evening in Oakland.

They have a good selection, but the place smells awful, which has to make you wonder about the cleanliness of their lines. The bartenders are friendly enough, but the vibe just doesnít do it for me.

Small and interesting bar tucked into a heavily populated area of Oakland. Great beer selection and, well, there isnít much more to say. If you like beer and thatís all youíre looking for then this place is great, but it doesnít have much else to offer.

Massive amount of beers on tap. Mostly local but also some gems from far away. 8 fridges full of bottles. Always nice to see one of my favorites Nogne #100 in this corner of the world. Small, dirty and smelly place but this one has its strengths.

Muy buen lugar con una exquisita seleccion de cervezas en barril y una magnifica variedas de cervezas embotelladas. El ambiente es muy agradable ya que se puede platicar y charlar de las cervezas degustadas. En general un excelente lugar!

Bustliní crowd on a stinking hot day in late September. Great selection with many new beers to try. A lot of bottles to peruse through as well. No nonsense bar crew and pretty much a hectic feel to the place. I had a good time here.

Reminds me of the Toronado which I did not like, same bad smell too. Bartenders seemed a bit nicer but the place was just too filthy. Also there was some crazy woman running around scaring people may have been the owner?

I love the more chill atmosphere at this place. You can grab a beer and sit on the front patio area and enjoy the great weather of the Bay Area. Bottle selection is good although, itís a little annoying searching through the dimly lit fridges. Drafts options are always changing and I can always find something great. Staff is okay but friendly. Also, there are many restaurants around that you can bring food from and eat on the patio.
