My 100th Virginia place rating, and this is a special place indeed. The first thing visible when you approach from street parking or the small lot is the expansion tent, always a good sign that demand exceeds supply. Inside is a deli slash bar slash coffee shop slash beer store slash restaurant, so you can do any of the things you normally so in those places simultaneously, or in any combination. The shop selection is extensive, with tons of local stuff. The food is very tasty and varies from bar snacks to deli stuff to full meals, and even breakfast tacos and brunch. Service is quick and cheerful. A must-visit if youíre anywhere in the region.

Definitely the premier beer destination in this part of the state. Beer Runís a hybrid beer store/bar/restaurant that attracts a pretty diverse cross section of Cíville residents. This place isnít just populated by beer geeks, which helps the ambiance. The bottle shop selectionís well-curated, nice. Beer Run seems to get the pick of the bottles distributed to the area, so you can usually find some pretty cool stuff. Unfortunately, everyone knows this, so limited bottles never stick around. Prices in the store are relatively high. As for the bar/restaurant - the tap selectionís generally pretty good. While the bar annoyingly doesnít offer flights, the staff are happy to provide samples. Service is prompt. The foodís frankly pretty forgettable, I look forward to a menu overhaul. Overall, an essential stop if youíre in the area.

Had a delicious late Sunday lunch of catfish tacos. Interesting and varied draft beer list. Smallest pours are 10 oz which limits the tasting. Nice selection of Lou Reed tunes producing a laid back vibe.

Glad to finally get by here, was passing through town and the wife was cool with stopping here for lunch. Cafe, beer bar, and beer store in one, nice concept. Food at lunch was sandwiches. They were solid enough, though I should point out that the bread they were served on was simple but outstanding. Nice draft selection to choose from, picked up a couple of new beers which is a bit difficult sometimes, so good draft list! And after lunch, went beer shopping in the store - very nice beer store. The best section of ciders I think Iíve ever seen assimilated in a shop before. Well worth the trip if going through the area. Draft prices very reasonable, bottle beers pretty standard.

This place has come a long way since opening. Good beer selection, weekly tastings, some glassware starting to creep in, a nice bar that features a few macros but also several nice beers. They will often get rarer things such as Starr Hill one-offs and the more rare draft offerings that come to the state. Food is tasty with a natural emphasis. This is a beer store, bar and cafe all at once. Definitely worth a stop if youíre in the area. I mean, how many beer stores do you know of that serve breakfast? There are rumors of expansion plans in the future. If theyíre not careful, they just might end up becoming one of the stateís premier beer stops. The service is friendly and helpful to stangers but if youíre fortunate enough to get to know them, the service is that much better. I know Iíve walked in and found a rare beer in my hand before I knew what happened. Locals should come here and should do so repeatedly. Visitors should come here too as its one of the premiere stops in the area. The parking sucks. Other than that, this is a top notch place.
Update: as of November 2011, they have a whole new room for beer. The new room is the foreign beer selection and the original room is the American beer selection. Itís still a work in progress, but its already looking nice and should add to the already very nice bottle selection.

Was blown away by this, totally my kind of beer store. Lots of fresh beer on the shelves for reasonable prices, a good amount of it was available cold as singles, but not all of it. Tons of local stuff I canít get here in Cincinnati, so I was very excited. If you get a case they give you a 5% discount, which is pretty awesome, so I ended up doing that. There is also a bar in the middle of the place with good stuff on tap, some rarities. Since the bar and the beer store is in the same area, you and your friends can enjoy drinks while you browse the to-go selection, which was very neat and unusual. On the opposite side of the bar, there is indoor seating area for the restaurant portion of the place, in addition to outdoor patio seating. My friends and I were very happy with the food. Bloody Maryís were expensive at $9, but freakiní great. Definitely tastes like a $9 BM. My friends went through 3. Service is pretty good, people who work there do their best to be as helpful as possible. Overall, a very satisfying place, one of the coolest beer stores Iíve ever been to. Ended up returning like 4-5 times throughout the labor day weekend. I look back on this place fondly, if I was a local Iíd be there all the time. Totally my kind of thing.

Stopped in while driving home to grab some bottles (So not rating food and service was just the cashier.) Tons of bottles though! Great selection from all around the world. Prices are kind of all around, some seemed high, some seemed low. Mix-a-six, lots of bombers, cold and ready to go...almost overwhelming. Make sure to follow the wine to find most of the Euro beers in the back room.

Beer Run is model for all tap rooms with a package store. They also sell wines and coffee. The selection of craft beers is excellent. the owners alos have worked with local brewers to create beers. The food was good. The nachos was huge. This would be enough for two people. The package stoes has bombers and the new 750 ml bottles of specialty beers.
